Scrolling XS pages for me is actually faster than IE. Possibly because its caching more items in RAM than IE does ?
    You use IE?

There is a Home Button, you can find it through the wrench on the top right corner, then Options and then in the basic-settings or whatever they'd call them in English (using Dutch version here).

    1) can be set i the option menu

2)maybe it's just you, i'm at a very low mem usage comparably.

    3) agrees

    4) i forget too. I guess i can still about how AIM is nyl linked to Gmail and not google talk. My bookmark toolbar also fit more across the top than chrome does. The spellcheck can get a little funky too.

    It is fast. Yay.

A new process for each tab could be good. Hmm I'll decide later.

Lei it get more mature, it will kick ass.

Even if it doesn't, it is open sourced, so Mozilla should get the goodies from it's concept and make their Firefox even better.

This is why copyright shouldn't exist.

i agree that it still needs some work but i think i am gonna use it! makes my internet connection seem decent... always used IE without a problem before (yes i have used Firefox quite a bit and it just didn't give me anything extra i needed or wanted) but this really makes a difference in speed and usability (for a beta). just can't decide if i like the "New Tab" page or if i should just set it back to a standard homepage.

Warning: As usually with google, uninstaller forgets about some files like automatic updates.
So don't install it out of a VM unless you want to actually use it.

i dont enjoy opening task manger and seeing hundreds of megs just for a freakin web browser.
which is a huge negative about Chrome, it uses alot of ram when you have multiple tabs running.

you can't do it because your laptop scroller is the equivalent to a smooth scroll (press then move mouse arrow up/down) with the mouse wheel button, and that doesn't work with Chrome, unfortunately.

Press F11 in IE or FF. Maximized windows are still windows, not full screen. Think of running a game in a maximized window vs. not running it in a window.
Well, when I maximize the browser, the only other object on screen is the taskbar, which is quite small...do people really need full screen beyond that?

In any case, lack of scroll-drag is simply unacceptable. A pity, as Chrome seems really ing fast but is all but unusable to me as long as it has that issue.
I have a mouse that has a scroll wheel tilt feature, tilt the wheel to the left or right, it scrolls the page up or down, and it works fine with Chrome. The lack of a scroll-drag is perplexing, but then again I personally never used it, but I can understand the annoyances of a missing feature.

I like it. But it's missing some features I adore that Opera has.

I liked the incognito guy so I made an avatar from it.

i find it quite amusing to notice myself pushing the button and then pushing the mouse up/down and remembering "oh, right, this sh1t doesn't work here "

Obviously I did need to write two paragraphs to get through to you. My other two attempts where I said "all that I needed to say" you didn't get it, and it was only after I took two paragraphs to explain it to you that you did. And yes, combined back/forward is objectively better than separate back/forward. It makes the interface simpler, and the user can see more data at the same time. There's no good argument to have them be separate.

It's nothing that breaks the user experience, like the lack of auto-scroll, but it is something that would be nice to have. Think web apps/games. If an app has a resolution setting you generally want to go as high as possible without having parts of the app clipped off. Fullscreen mode can be the difference between having the entire app show or parts of it being cut off. Again, a minor complaint but a legitimate one.
