What's up with that on the bottom? Is that another top plate that got cracked in transit? How depressing!

Hey The same question was asked in Germany in a forum: It is just two-sided-protection-foil of the plexi that is taken away over the 0001 etching.
The unprotected plate is just a gift from us to him that he can use as a necklace or put it anywhere he wants. The protected one is the one to put on his Cyber0001.

    Congratulations Mr. 0001!!!!! Enjoy.

    Okay, whew! I was worried.

Looks good, Steffen! I should have my murderMod at my house hopefully within a week or two, and I can't wait. Charles delightfully informed me that I have the exclusive bragging right of being the first person in North America to own a murderMod TJ07!!!

I've never been the first person on my continent to do ANYTHING before... I didn't lose my virginity until I was 19!

No, this was just to make sure the postman does not grab the stuff himself I will handle EU.
Caseking is a great place with great people, but we want to keep everything under our control, from consulting, to quality-control, to service and especially customization. The box was just a handy solution because it had the right size and I did not have time yet to go into luxury-problems like fancy box-design. So I added a little "0001" writing to it. The product itself is our first concern for now

At this time we think its best to stay independent: No Sponsors, Distributors = no compromise.

I was hoping that would be the case.
Thanks for the clarification. BTW do you have EU pricings sorted out yet or will they be launched at the same time as the US site?

Steffen those parts look absolutely amazing and will really finish off this build!! I am so jealous of you right now!

I hope that my TJ07 can look half as good as yours when I am done with it.

Yesterday I've installed the plexitop in the case. I have to say that it is pretty easy and quickly done.
The parts fit very nice and i looks gorgeous. Pictures should be ready until thursday. Don't have much time to work on it, so you must excuse this delay

Read Friedchicken's thread: My "murder" TJ07 project.

These pictures are from Post 129, on the 6th page:

I hate posting without having new pics to show so I was waiting... till I had new pics to show. In the absence of pics I humbly offer a couple of render treats.

Project Update: The Acrylic top panel is being made but there's been a slight alteration. Since the inset step design would be too expensive, I'm making a thin piece of aluminum that will serve as a frame or flange to hold the Acrylic in place. The frame will be attached to the case using the threads previously used for the black grill. There will be a slight overlap that the Acrylic will rest on.

Now that's a question for Steffen. All I know about it is from those renders by Charles. I don't know if it is glued or taped in place, or just sitting there. We'll probably have to wait for Steffen's pictures and he'll more than likely explain.

Well you could glue it on the top or use a small string of glue, but it's actually sitting on the top.
So you can remove it pretty easily. Though i haven't made it yet to remove the plate without opening the case
