Influenced by Bikecop's clean design, I used similar architecture, but with EK blocks used throughout. I also added a few laboratory couplers that allow for quick maintenance of wblocks and service of mobo.

NB VR Waterblock with Compression Fitting
I removed the fitted plate from the stock HPA cooling the NB VR FETS and attached it to the bottom of an EK wblock using Arctic Silver epoxy. I used Arctic Alumina epoxy, in turn, to connect the whole assembly to the NB VR FETS (non-conductive). There was industrial epoxy affixing the plate to the Asus HPA which required sanding to remove. Using progressively finer sand paper, I smoothed the surface of the top of the block where it mates with the EK wblock, forming a wblock 'sandwich.' Previously, the only thing cooling these FETS was the Asus pipe/gas assembly -- no water. The only component wcooled by Asus' stock HPA is the northbridge, itself. The modified EK waterblock includes one 3/8" barb and one, 1/2" compression barb that runs 1/2" Tygon to the two 4870 X2s.
