That code works for all 3 of the earthwatts PSUs. You can get the EA500 for $43.99 free shipping no rebate as well, if you don't like rebates. Shame the EA380 has almost $11 in shipping charges.

Also if you have MS Live cashback you can get another 3% off the price

Tempted to buy one of these.

Curious what would it save if I buy one for you and for me and then ship one, wouldn't it make more sense for you to buy one, I buy one, save shipping?

    Oh I get it

Sorry my finances don't allow for me to buy stuff for other people. Probably don't really allow for me to buy one of those PSUs either, I haven't updated my books recently but I'm probably pushing it right now with buying a 9600GSO, 4870, Vista....

Ha, no worries. I'm half awake myself.

I have no real need for another PSU, unless it won't work with that board. I'm considering getting ANOThER 9600gso from newegg. They seem to have better deals on open box items than what people are selling thier cards for here. 73 bucks isn't bad at all for a card.

I have a 2nd athlon sitting around, x2 5000+ (not BE) and i might consider making a HTPC as well and just running an nvidia card in it for movies/internet/crunching. Now I just need a good mini / micro atx board to start out with.

Is this for me (if so, I'm flattered) or for the deals section?

Thanks! I'll keep it in mind. I can get away with possibly buying another card to fold on, but that's it. I'd need memory, an hdd ( at least 750 for video), a case, possibly a cd drive, psu. That'll be another build, but thanks! If I'm lucky, maybe I can scrape it together after Christmas.

Those sometimes don't come with the back plate, also why not an open box 740/780G?

All boards come with the metal backplate, it is an integral part of the board really.

That board was a cheaper open box, the 740/780 would have been more.

No way to mount a heatsink on an AMD system without the backplate though

Oh oops I thought You guys were talking about the little sheet metal motherboard back port cover dealie [I'm not making sense, am I?]

I thought you thought the motherboard might need it for grounding the ports or something...

That that little shield thingy isn't needed, aesthetics only but for a cruncher who cares! All my crunchers are in cardboard boxes!

Haha!, Why do pepole use just the motherboard box, you could spread out cardboard on a shelf and get the same result, with more surface area!

Yes they do, reason for the talk about the 8800GS/9600GSO is while they aren't as high PPD they tend to cost less initially and use less power.

My 8800gt got 5000-5200 ppd when OC'd before it died.

What does an OC'd gso get, 4500+? It uses substantially less power, so in the long run, you can later upgarde to something like a 9800gtx+ with the power savings.

I guess that's why I have three gso's sitting around. Motherboard, come to me!

    Start, Thanks!

A lot of cards have been updated price-wise as well as many of deactivated items have been removed.

Is there anything else anyone would like to see in terms of deals? HDDs, cases, etc?

    Let me know... thanks.

Schweet, I'm just asking because I found this.. okay, it's Euroland, but it still is cheap as you know what.
