I was going to say that the Fusion block itself is way to heavy to be just aluminum. Since I'm not going to move to liquid anytime soon, I yanked mine off and replaced it with a EnzoTech CNB-S1, sorta figured it had to be better than that hunk of metal for cooling. Drilled two extra holes in the CNB-S1, lopped off the extra from the mounting ears, applied a bit of MX-2 and used the factory screws to attach it.
The next step may be an EnzoTech SLF-1 on the southbridge, a Swiftech MCX159-CU on the northbridge and ENZOTECH MST-81 on the mosfets. Gointg to see how the temps are with the modified heat pipe monstrosity first.
