    EIST is called 'Intel speedstep technology' in the bios.
    just above 'clockgenerator'
    EIST stands for 'enhanced intel speedstep technology'

    You could try to raise the NB voltage and/or FBdimm voltage.
    (jcool is running stock voltages , I use 1.35v NB and 1.86v FBdimm , ymmv)
