I have to put the card in the top slot right next to my 4870, squeezed in the sapce between the vid card and the cpu cooler. It's either this or spend 190.00 on a PCie version of my X-Fi. And I also am not coming to grips real fast with the Asus and clocking any of my Duals. I can get a SuperPi at 4700 with the 8600 but cannot get it stable there. Please give me some reasons whuy I should NOT pickup one of these Biostars
ok, so the X-FI card that you have is a PCI slot card, right?..if so, then the 2 PCI slots are to the left (bottom of the board if standing) of the 2nd 16X speed slot.

if i understand you correctly then the X-FI sound card should be ok unless you are going to do crossfire.

here is the board; take a look.
