zomg. Ive had my eye on this since it started... its lookin kick ass.
Ive been wondering how well ull be able to keep a vacum on this though. even if u seal around the wires in a wirebox, couldnt the vacum still be lost through the internal sleeving of the wires? Unless im missing something here, i cant see it really holding a vacum, even at 1000 micron. I could be wrong. I wanna see more of THAT part in this project.

i havn't read this word for word but i think hes not vacuuming but pressurizing the chamber with a intert gas IE nitrogen or co2

Your correct Teyber....I will vacuum the chamber to remove as much moisture as possible and then pressurize with 5 to 10 PSI nitrogen.

hey Sweeper, is the air pressure in the sealed box going to be measured as well? Or does that even effect the parts? and is the clear glass going to be able to support this pressure.

Yes, air pressure will be monitored from the gauge on the control panel and the glass panel is 1 1/4" thick....so, I'm sure the air pressure will not affect the glass.

try google. He is making a nearly air-tight container for the parts that will need to be condensation proofed. A vacuum pump is a tool used in refrigeration that gets rid of nearly everything its vacuuming. This gets rid of most of the condensation. he will vacuum the chamber and then purge it with a inert gas, without moisture, so no condensation will form as there is no water molecules in the air inside the container.

Been a while since I have seen the progress..still phenomenal..and getting better. Any set plans on what will be 'worthy' enough to be held within the splendor of that case? I can't imagine it being a CPU from this planet..

My original plan was to use ASUS Striker II Extreme 790i Ultra, Intel QX9770 and GTX 280 SLI setup, but as this project drags out. The setup maybe obsolete, before I complete the project.

I'm currectly looking for male and female molex connectors to complete the wiring harness for the cooling chamber. Once I complete the wiring, I will start installing my test components and fire the system up.

    Thanks Laser,

I haven't updated in awhile, because I'm having to redesign the wiring harness for the cooling chamber. Once I get the materials, I will update you guys with the progress.

Maybe a stupid question from a total noob (who is, incidentally, totally blown away with the amazing attention to detail of this project) but are there not any off the shelf solutions to taking your electrical connections through the wall of the MB box? (old mans memory is thinking of amphenol connectors being air/water tight)

I'm sure there are easier ways to run the wires in the chamber. But, I decided to build a panel with approximately 20 different types of connectors for future expansion that will be attached to the chamber and air tight. It will be a clean installation and the power supply can be upgraded by just plugging in a new one without having to disassemble the chamber.

I'm almost complete with milling the panel and will start installation of connectors and wires soon. I've also done some changes to the inside of the chamber, which involved making more parts for future components.

I know this project is dragging out and I appreciate you guys being patient. Believe me...I'm ready for this thing to be finished.
