I'm fine with Vista, I just need some RAM. I think my first DOA P5Q-Deluxe toasted one of my sticks of Ballistix.

EDIT: You sure you had raid selected in bios? Maybe it wont see raid drivers with F6 if achi is selected?
I always slipstream my drivers to install cd because of I don't have floppy drive so cant really test myself :/

I used the one from Intel's site that you extract and put on the floppy... it was smaller than the 6mb file you show. I'm on Vista now and everything's fine and dandy.

EDIT: And yes, I am sure RAID was set in the BIOS. That was the first thing I checked.

    Hey there
I want some advise about stability .

    Here are my settings:

    FSB : 425 x 8
    PCIE: 100
    DRAM : 1278 // 5-5-5-15 (trfc:40) @2.1v
    DRAM STATiC READ.. : DISABLED
    VCORE: 1.36875(VID=1,3125)
    CPU PLL : 1.58
    FSB TERM. : 1.46
    DRAM: 2.1
    NB: 1.34
    SB: 1.10
    PCIE SATA: 1.50
    LLC: ENABLED
    SPREAD CPU/PCI SPECTRUM : DISABLED
    C1E: DISABLED
    MAX CPUID LIMIT: DISABLED
    INTEL VIRT. : DISABLED
    CPU TM : ENABLED
    EXECUTE DISABLE BIT: ENABLED
    MEMORY REMAP: ENABLED
    MEMORY HOLE : DISABLED

I tried prime95(large FFTs) for about 2 hours and it was stable until 125 minutes ; it gave error on core0 .
Would you give me an advice about my settings?
    Thank you.

P5Q Deluxe or Biostar Tpower I45 for this setup?

how is this motherboard for quad cpu + micron ddr2 overclocking on air?

cpu is q9450, ram is 4x1GB micron d9gmh.

I am trying to choose between this motherboard and Tpower I45?

    Thanks!

What about the cpu overclock? is the p5q-d more quad friendly?

Do you think that the Asus 16-phase helps? (Biostar is 4 Phase)

I do not care about the ExpressGate or the overclocking software in Windows.

what is the highest fsb overlock on air that I should expect with a quad on this motherboard?
