It is not possible to check it ATM, I have returned GTX 280 to a store such as there is no difference and I can't move 9800GX2 to a middle slot - it is water cooled and the length of tubes is minimal. But I understand your point - you want to check if the first slot is a cause, therefore I will remove water cooling and check the card in a middle slot. It will take some time though.
    Thanks.

    Aegis Panel and bios G28

    Hi! All

just back from i34 and was talking to the foxconn people there

the latest version of Aegis Panel is 1.0.2.32 http://www.quantum-force.net/downloa...Panel10232.zip and for the temp readings to work correctly you need bios version p05

p05 is bios version g28 + a few extra updates - This is the bios they were using for the new E8600 and all their overclocking with LN2

    it is available here http://www.foxconnchannel.com/support/downloads.aspx

i have flashed to p05 and have no issues with it

    best regards

flanr, what are you saying? that the PO5 is the same as G28 just that the PO5 has a few extra updates more compared to the G28 ore?

    QUESTION 1:

    how dram compensation works ??
    +1 what means ?

    QUESTION 2:

    From anantech :

    CPU Clock vs. Memory Speed

The best memory divider for overclocking is generally 1:4.333. 1:3.2 may be used if FSB speeds exceed the maximum memory speed of your modules. Please note that onboard FSB jumpers may need to be set to the FSB speed of your processor for the lower ratio dividers to work.

    what does it mean ??

So everything untouched but only stopped running proper after some loading?
it seems like rig is running just no display, and with another card... sounds like something with that pcie slot.

    Hello LardArse.

I have bin trying a lot of things and one of them were chance the mem... to the other slot and it didt help me out, so now im on G28 and are running 4000Mhz whit 1.400v but i can't seem to get anything stable over 400FSB no mather what, my mem are running at 960mhz.
if the G29 aint that much improveing i would not chance it for G28

i guess you mean vdroop compensation or Dram reference?

Vdroop compensation makes sure voltage of cpu is constant between idle and load scenarios.

Dram reference +1, etc adjusts the 0.5x multiplier of Dram reference voltage, to become 0.505x , 0.51x, 0.515x etc etc

    QUESTION 2:

In general for overclocking DRAM , the most effective and one that seems to yield best results = the ratio 1:4,333
If you DRAM cannot handle too high speeds, but your FSB still can go higher, a ratio like 3:2 will help FSB gets more still leaving some breathing space for your DRAM.

    Memory Recomendation

I would recommend the cellshock 1866 as i have mine running at 2000mhz - i had OCZ memory and had a few problems with it - but that was before tony from OCZ started this thread

The Cellshock are a popular choice around here, and i can personally speak wonders for Corsair ram on this board - at least the 2x2gb kit that i have, great overclockers.

The G Skill DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) for the price at NEWEGG is a really good deal if you have a tight budget. And the new E8600 CPU is really really easy to OC on this board as well. Right now I am at 4.5GHz @ 1.30v temps are under 50c full loads. Still trying to push higher with the memory and E8600. And I also just received the new Sapphire 4870X2 and my scores on 3DMARK06 are at 21K and 3DMARK ADVANTAGE is at 12500 not bad for a using a dual core..

Real simple question, the board is set-up with twin BIOS chips. Can each chip be loaded with a different BIOS and each BIOS be set-up with differing settings?

Reading over the manual, it seems that one can choose which BIOS chip to load and each BIOS chip can have saved custom settings, similar to what DFI does with their Lanparty boards. I just want to confirm this.

    Thanks.
