I have had the same problem only from an X-fi and not the onboard. I figured it had to do with the 525fsb I was running at the time, although PCi freq was at 100. What speed are you running? Mine could also be caused by the SB being in the slot above my 4870, only slot I can put it in. This board was not layed out very well at all if you use a PCI device
