It won't give the error unless it thinks it will not boot at the settings you set .. the double boot post will always happen when you edit certain bios settings ... to just check if it is a OC failure setting of what you picked fro settings.

Now if system did not boot and your monitor light flashes only .. then shut machine down and wait about 30 secs and boot up again .. it will also double post and give you the OC failure error.

Its just a built in feature Asus did in Bioes since about 3-4 years ago on many mobo's they made/make.

Its not a thing that is wrong or a fudged up thing its doing.... its a safety feature is all and there is no way to turn it off .. only Asus can do that by removing the boot block info for it.
