can not correct my problem?
did you test to calibrate the sensors with real temp ? if they didn't budge you got stuck sensors and can try to RMA the CPU... some CPU's are affected some don't ahve an issue at all...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
Setting up my new P5Q-E today, so far so good and the tips in this thread have been awesome time-savers. My old P5K Pro would get my E7200 to 3.924 or so, 460fsb and DDR1224 with Reaper 1150's so I'm looking for good stuff here although my chip is not the best (anyone have a good E8x00 cheap?).
My Questions: What is the 'CPU Margin' setting in BIOS 1103? It wasn't there in the awful 0605 BIOS my board came with and I did not see that in this thread although 96 pages makes it easy to miss something.
....and while I'm at it: Anyone have a template for the RPR1150 RAM at high speeds on this board?
TIA!
My 'all air' boxes...

I tweak cars, bikes, and computers - does this make me a spatial anomaly?
Heat ? Vcore related, other voltage settings, etc... could be zillions of options there... what's the deal with the 2Mb Pi runs ? I have no clue what you want to prove with these screenshots... stability it is not at all... try 32MB for each core for better stability test...
And if Superpi is ya thing with air or watercooling, P45 is NOT the way to go...

Hey guys, Ive been doing some testing of this board's crossfire performance compared to another user on here who has a very similar setup but with an X48 board and there does not appear to be any performance deficit whatsoever.Check out this thread:

Hey jVIDIA,
I wanted to pick your brains about this vPLL thing, may I ask is there any chance the vPLL reading differs depending what CPU you have installed? Did you test with 65nm/45nm dual-cores and 65nm/45nm quad cores?
I am currently in testing with a 65nm Conroe-2MB and I just realised I have left the vPLL on auto, everything seems to be working well. I'm just doubting that the board sets the same vPLL for all the different chips and also why the heck would ASUS tune these boards to run the vPLL at 1.82v when left on auto? I'm still not sure what vPLL is but if I'm not mistaken isn't that the setting that perhaps caused alot of Wolfdale users to bOrk their chips when run too high (degredation or something?).
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies, I'm trying hard to get up to speed here and it is in my nature to question everything at the source so please don't take offence from my doubting nature!
There are people all around the world following your advice and giving your advice to others but having read this entire thread I cannot find the post with your initial findings and if these do indeed relate to all CPU's or just the one that was in your machine during testing!![]()

Someone have my same problem with bios 1103?
With some "strap" i have +60MHz finaly on my ram frequency!
ex. I set 1150MHz on my Corsair Dominator DDR2 and i check later that is 1220Mhz on Cpu-Z and Everest! And with other settings i can't bootup!
p.s. Sorry for my eng, im ita! Thanks!
I will try the bios 1103 which are the best for oc

Just want someone to confirm what I think i remember reading somewhere before I purchased my deluxe - I know xfire drops the pci-e lanes down to x8 but If I dont use xfire they should both stay at x16 right?
Reason I ask is I plan on picking up a 4870x2 in the next couple weeks (pending good reviews) and since 8800+ cards can be used for physX now, ill just make my gts320 into an overpowered PPU running in the 2nd slot. However if just using a second card drops both lanes to x8 I may have to re-think the ppu (which only effects a few games, none of which i currently play...) as i think that could make a big dent in the 4870x2's performance since thats a lot of processing going through that slot.

thanks for clearing that up mumid.... but iv read somewhere that going from 16x to 8x isnt that much of a performance drop...
