Yeah, it's good that they waited for the bios to mature before doing their final article. I'm getting similar Everest performance to them using the same Corsair 1600mhz dimms they used on their 'max overclock' page, so i must be doing ok!

I would like to thank Foxconn for it's honesty and confirm once more that we are on the right way, guys :

It is bad though that too many manufacturers lost a lot of money on their 790i projects, which they could use for something else, useful for us, consumers ... or just drop the prices.

It can be downloaded from HWBot as it's the only valid version they recognize I believe.

Yeah i caught that the other day, and i was actually thinking about waiting for the dreadnought for a while!

It's obvious they spent this long on the board because of the issues the chipset was having, but if it's not up to the standard of blackops it's probably better to not release it at all so good call on their part.

Nvidia have got nothing but profit losses and bad press from this too, the sooner they drop out of the chipset race the better for all including them i think.

    Hey all,

I have also been tweaking the BlackOps over the last week. So far on my Q6600, I have been able to hit 442 on the FSB with an 8x multi. Trying to hit 3.9GHz on the 9x, however core 3 consistently fails. Been screwing around with the GTLs with no luck; core 3 fails almost immediately every time. I think part of it may be cooling; I am using a Swiftech H2O-220 Compact, and at 3.9 its really at its limit. Using 1.5VTT as well.

If any of you guys get the GTLs on this board figured, dont be afraid to share, this is set up quite a bit different than my P35-T2R....

You cannot. I spent alot of time looking for one. But they are ware many of us here in Canada would like to get one, so hopefully NCIX might get some, but it's hard to say, NCIX has to agree to carry teh product too. I talked to both companies, so hopefully we will see more high-end Foxconn products on NCIX.

Yeah, I have downloaded this, started to run it and something happened with my PC. First 1.55 didn't recognize my CPU correctly showing something like Xeon Pentium III. Then my PC died ... there is no signal from a video card on Display, motherboard stops at 2d error code. Either video card or motherboard has a problem. I have tried to clear BIOS, etc. nothing helps, need to replace a video card to check it out if it is it or a motherboard.

    Don't mention it, bro overclocker!

Unfortunately it looks like a mobo issue - I have tested the monitor using the same cable and the same DVI connection on another system, it works fine, I have replaced the 980GX2 video card with a brand new 280 (green light reporting about correct power supply connection is up) - the same stop on 2d error which after 2-3 min turns to 7F (such as I use 280 driver). I have forced to load 26 BIOS instead of BIOS 28 - the same result.

    Any ideas?

Its normal for it to detect the CPU as a P3 same thing happens in 3dmark01. 2D error code is most likely a issue with the video card. Try no card or a card in the middle slot.

Yes, thats why I tried to replace the video card (with a brand new one) - with no success though. No card gives me a quick stop at 2d with beep and then 7F - critical error

7F is normal its just waiting for you to hit F1 to continue or delete to enter bios. What happens in the middle slot?
