    Hi.

As I see, there is a possibility to raise Overdrive limits in BIOS. Why do you modifying old BIOSes (1.0003)? Please, raise up limits to 800/1300 in new 1.0004 BIOS from PowerColor/Sapphire and release it with checksum fixed if that's possible. Please don't change anything else (including fan settings) - only limits. I need this BIOS in this form. Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    sarmat.

Here is your Bios: Power Color

I have changed Core upper limit to 1250MHz and memory upper limit 1450MHz
And I don't change anything else!

    Good luck!

leonarderman, you think you can mod my HIS bios just for increased upper limit of around 800/1300.

any chance of modding the bios Power Color and making it so 3d clocks = 1.2v 700/1000

have you tried using powerplay settings 160/500 in 2d? or is that a bit complicated

    cheers

It works for me on vista 64, are you using XP, because if you are you have to change the file extension so it shows up as a rom file and not a bin file.

I was able to flash his bios' no problem, but the one problem I have run into so far is that if I try to install the CAT 8.8 betas it won't recognize my card as a valid ATI card. The CAT 8.7's work fine though and didn't give me a problem. Which is why I'd like to have my own card's bios modded just slightly without messing with the checksums.

Have you tried atiflash from dos with -p -f 0 [bios.bin]?

Well I tried both the asus and the powercolor but neither one are working with my cards. After I reboot I get no signal from either card with these bios. Had to go back to my original, the saphire one's work but I couldn't change any of the overdrive settings for some reason. Anybody else having this problem?

Edit: I've got a Diamond and a Powercolor

    With the Bios default:
    Idle: 1.12V
    Fulload: 1.263V

Bios Modded able to change Vcore max to 1.327V. Mod more Volt take no effect!

But I think the card HD4850 is easy stable at core 700Mhz with vcore df. With my Sapphire HD4850, I can overclock core to 750Mhz stable easily! Try again or mod Vcore by Pencil to get more result!

now im confused :p Does it bios come with the soft-vmod applied (to get around 1.2v underload) or not? the default voltage for the HD4850 is around 1.13v underload

p/s: nevermind, I opened the bios file in RBE, it seems that soft-vmod is not applied then

So wait... If I flash my asus 4850 with this. It will be default clocks of 700/1100, but it will have a vcore max of 1.327v's? Meaning I could quite possibly with the proper cooling get it to 800 core? :/
