Best 2x1GB DDR2 micron D9 kit as of today?

Seems like one of the old Team Xtreem D9GMH sticks I have died which is sad as this DDR2-667 3-4-4-8 2.0 - 2.2v specced sticks did DDR2-1000 4-4-4-8 at only 2.2v with trfc at 25 too. Was able to go up to 1130 or so at trfc 25 still at 2.2v so they sure were some nice low latency sticks.

Anyways, what's the best D9 sticks today and kits that still garantueed has it, Team, G.Skill, Crucial, Corsair, Muskin, Geil, there are so many sticks, anything that is still exclusively using micron D9 and not like Crucial Ballistix Tracers which seems to have a newer version etc.

    I'd really want to pick what's got the best chance of reaching DDR2-1000 4-4-4-8 or DDR2-1200 5-5-5-15, preferable around 2.2 ~ 2.25v
    Intel? Core i5-4670K @ 4.3 GHz | ASRock Extreme6 Z87 | G.Skill Sniper 2x8GB @ DDR4-1866 CL9 | Gigabyte GTX 970 OC Windforce 3x | Super Flower Titanium 1000W | ViewSonic VX2268wm 120Hz LCD | Phanteks PH-TC14PE | Logitech MX-518 | Win 7 x64 Professional | Samsung 850 EVO & 840 Pro SSDs

I found the PC2-6400 kit on a site here for 51 EUR, is there any certain version I should look for though?

Shame if the good stuff is disappearing.

EDIT: Found some Team Xtreem PC2-6400 4-4-4-10 and PC2-5300 3-3-3-8 for 79 EUR, the ones with silver alu heatspreader. I'm guessing it's the old D9GMH sticks (Micron D9GMH B6-3 with 6-layer PCB) which should have quite similiar overclockability like these. I wonder which one is a better pick between the 2? I think I'll go for the PC2-6400 kit as it seems to be tiny bit better of the results I've compared but seems like it's the exact same chips tho.

With 6400 Cell-Shock, just look if the kit hasn't got the "V²" marking. If it's so then it's Micron D9GMH, or if you are lucky D9GKX.
As for something with D9, well Transcend AxeRam 1066+ and 1200+ are with Micron D9GMH only, and 6400 AxeRam with "N" letter behind the bar-code is also D9GMH.
Also Team Xtreem 9600 are with D9GKX only, but they are a bit expensive.
Old Team X. with silver heatspreaders are mostly D9GMH, just check the serial number. I have a kit of those 6400 and they o/c like sting.

Well like it looks it now stands between:

    Cellshock PC2-6400 4-4-4-12 (D9GMH certified) - 53 EUR
    Team Xtreem PC2-6400 4-4-4-10 (TXDD2048M800HC4DC) - 78 EUR
    Team Xtreem PC2-5300 3-3-3-8 (TXDD2048M667HC3DC-M) - 78 EUR.

I really like Teamgroup RAM but Cellshock PC2-6400 and certified D9GMH chips (yes they list that in the product description too) and 53 EUR it's hard to refuse... gotta go dig up some more Cellshock results...

PS, love the 5 EUR shipping cost from UK to Finland.

And too bad the Cellshock D9GXK DDR2-1000 4-4-4-12 is out of stock... as it costed only 80 EUR.

EDIT: OK NOW I found what really interests me most I think:

    CellShock DDR2 PC2-8000 5-5-5-15 (D9GKX chips) - 65 EUR (special deal) :o

    Cell-Shock PC6400 D9GMH @ ~1200MHz 5-5-5-15 @2.2V.
Edit: 8000C5 are D9GMH or D9GKX while the 8000C4 kit are D9GKX only.

    omg.

But which should I pick though you think?

    CellShock DDR2 PC2-8000 5-5-5-15 (could be D9GKX chips) - 65 EUR (special deal)

    or

    Cellshock PC2-6400 4-4-4-12 (D9GMH certified) - 53 EUR

Now the price difference means nothing to me, I'd just wanna pick whatever that clocks better in general when talking like 100 vs 100 kit comparision or something as always YMMV. I think I'll get the 8000C5 kit, if not D9GKX I'll prolly get a good D9GMH clocking kit anyways...

EDIT: I see, well on the site (memoryconfigurator which is the famous ram site in UK) it really says D9GKX though.

If you are sure that PC8000 kit will come with D9GKX, then i would take it.
D9GKX tend to do better CL4 overclock and respond good to high voltages, while being properly cooled. I prefer D9GKX do D9GMH but they are rarer than the late ones.
You don't have to worry about 8000C5 reaching 9600 clocks.
Where did you find then at those prices? I could even order one for myself.

Yea I know about D9GKX but really if it's only D9GMH sticks it should at least clock as good as the PC2-6400 kit I suppose so I guess I don't have anything to lose (or could it possibly clock worse with tighter timings perhaps?) picking up the 8000C5 kit anyways as 65 EUR for good ol' micron D9xxx is a steal IMO anyways.

Link, still 8 pcs left (special deal only available until Aug 3rd ie today :p):

Will order one after I've eaten dinner.

I doubt they could clock worse than the 6400 kit. In the worst case scenario they will clock the same, and you will stress them less being that their starting freq. is 1000MHz. If it's "only" D9GMH you haven't lost anything. They are still damn good sticks.
And it's after i've eaten, not after i've eated, u made a typo.

    Team Xtreem PC2-6400 4-4-4-10 (TXDD2048M800HC4DC) - 78 EUR

These look awesome, i have a set and they can manage 650MHZ 4-4-4-3, right now i run them at 1200 5-5-5-5 @ 2.06v 24/7.

I know Team's good that's why I concidered them as the sticks I've been using have been, but I'm sure yours are well above the average performers so concider yourself lucky. But seems like a PITA to try RMA sticks to Teamgroup today so that's why I don't bother even trying to RMA this kit I have. Placed the order on the Cellshock 8000C5 already and I'm sure these are also good ones and couldn't resist the special deal, 70,34 EUR shipped to Finland for plausible D9GKX sticks. Didn't these sticks use to cost like 250 EUR back in the days?

I remember paying around 340euros for 2x1Gb Corsair TwinX PC6400C4 in 2006. Was a good ram but what a price... Today you can get like 6 kits of DDR2 for that kind of money and equip at least 3 machines.
Dunno yet, i have 3 good kits of ram, what i need more is a graphics card, still have to see...

I would go for this: CellShock DDR2 PC2-8000 5-5-5-15 (could be D9GKX chips) - 65 EUR (special deal). For the price difference it's very worth it.

    Yeh so I did.

Too bad there's some national holiday in Ireland on Monday so it will be shipped on Tuesday. Oh well I guess I can wait one day longer.

the cellshock are very good. i've owned cellshock memory and they clocked like a dream!
but the team are good too, if you are able to find a 2gb pc2-6400 CL3 kit, that is a VERY good kit for sure. i've heard of 1300MHz, only to give you some numbers...

I got this kit when they first appeared - CellShock DDR2 PC2-8000 5-5-5-15 (could be D9GKX chips) - they cost me over £250, a steal at the price you paid. Mine do over 1200 easily on 2.2 @ 5-5-5-15. Only a slight bump in volts to do 5-4-4-4-4-2T for benching.

My thoughts exactly when I checked the RMA forum section. Then again I'm not the type that like to RMA stuff, I usually just buy something new instead. But it's always nice to be backed up by a good RMA service, although few companies have it like say OCZ for example. Anyways feels like I'm almost happy losing this stick cuz otherwise I had never found this awesome deal. OK it's not nice losing D9GMH ram but if I can get something even better this cheap it's almost worth it.

EDIT: I like it how Cellshock even advertises it's D9GKX chips used for this kit on their website: http://cellshock.flagbit.com/en/prod...-1000-cl5.html

Same site that RPGWiZaRD post he was going to get the 8000's from. Just wanted to know if I was missing something that made the 8000's better then the 9200's.
