The main things that kill 45nm's are high VTT voltage and anything other than stock PLL voltage. Mix those with high Vcore, and you have a recipe for death. High Vcore on it's own does not kill 45nm's.
by higher i meant 1.6 v + , i already killed 2xE8400 and 1xE8500 with 1.65v for about 1 month each , SS cooled with sub -30c load this why i suggest to stay in 1.5-1.55v as max for 24/7 . I know that each processor handle differently the voltage but it is better to be safe than sorry .
