Or simple things like how much faster their virus scan is after getting one of these or copying a folder loaded with images of fairly small size to it.

I wanna know how usable the system is while I'm making a copy of a pictures folder and large movie folder on the drive and try to run some various apps at the same time.
What are the app load times then!?
idle system load time vs. stressed with copying load time.
Will it be dead slow?
Q: I wanna know how usable the system is while I'm making a copy of a pictures folder and large movie folder on the drive and try to run some various apps at the same time.
A: Very Usable
Q: What are the app load times then!?
A: Almost instant. Photoshop loads in 2 seconds, other so fast you hardly notice.
Q: idle system load time vs. stressed with copying load time.
A: No real differance that I can tell, even copying DVD ISO's from drive to drive.
Q: Will it be dead slow?
A: Short answer, it's dead fast !
I know it's not a fair comparison![]()
Probably his RAID, at least that's what he is implying to me with his "I know it's not a fair comparison".
His RAID is something that many of us can only dream about....
Although I hope that will change in the future.

start up time is definitely snappier but board's usual delay in detecting mem/devices on boot up skews the start up time results anyway heh
