about the whole clock skewing issue, is it possible to just benchmark the sb600 cpu at its max, and the sb750 at its +100ish mhz and see if there is about 5% more power coming out of it? we keep seeing screenshots of the OCs, but i dont see many performance benchmark comparisons between the new and old SBs, did i just miss them?

They'll have a "JR" version instead.

Man I'm starting to think its going to be late August until we get ahold of one of these boards, I want a good chip don't get me wrong but this wait is ridiculous, we've only been able to get 1 review so far out and no launch date or anything from any manufacturer's just "soon"

Asus Showed their board this morning and it got me all excited thinking today's going to be a big news day, but apparently that's not going to happen

3.5 more days until the end of this month!

ChristmasGT: Where do you get that?

Reviews are showing up all over the web (especially Asia), and if I remember correctly Anand said they would be released this week....

Haven't seen any reviews at all since the anantech one, and the only release date i've heard is "soon"

I wonder if they are just going to hold off for the R700 Launch which is mid august, I keep trying to search for reviews and nada

Btw here's a Gigabyte board incase it hasn't been shown yet:

About time. I was waiting to hear of a ASUS Deluxe motherboard.
Concerning the part in bold I was under the impression that the M3A32-MVP Deluxe had one of if not the best power phase design (8+2 pulse width modulation) of this current generation of AM2+ motherboards.

I was considering the M3A32-MVP Deluxe Wifi-AP. I ended up not getting that motherboard partly (but not completely) because of very mixed reviews. I hope that this motherboard will be superior to that one in every way and address some of the reported flaws.

I am now just waiting for a Gigabyte 790FX+ SB750 DQ6 model. I hope that news of such a motherboard is forthcoming soon. I am slightly concerned vis a vis that as we have seen Gigabyte's 790GX + SB750 offering thus far.

I will very likely get one of these two motherboards if and when they materialise. I will wait quite a while for reviews and user evaluation first. Unfortunately I cannot afford to blow money away on a lemon.

    One suspicious thing though....

    They wrote:

"as well as being backed with a solid power design for the most stable operations. "

IF they had implemented a 8+2 phase power design they would have mentioned it.

It's getting closer! Actually, the Asus news release stated that the board had been 'released', which indicates to me 'fly away to the retailers, little motherboard'. Could be a matter of corporate translation tho - released, announced, launched - pretty much interchangeable. I found an old announcement of the SB750 dated August 2007, which stated that the next chipset, SB800/890FX should be out by the end of the year - December 2007!
What I found amusing is some of the Russian sites' Google translation of the Asus announcement - there seems to be a 'food processor' mounted on this new motherboard!! Talk about integration! Those crazy Russians!

Still waiting...................and occasionally rebooting because of the f**king freezes!

Actually I've read rumors from people that claim they have friends that work at "e-tailers" that say the boards are in stock... they are just waiting for AMD to blow the whistle.

I'm not sure I believe the rumors... but I can hope. I'll order that ASUS board the minute it is on newegg.

Maybe even before that point in time if I can go faster than light...

I like the 5 second linux boot thing they have...

    ===============================================

OH BOGUS... the announcement from the Asus site for the M3A79-T DELUXE has disappeared.. I know it was there earlier today.

That could mean things are VERY close... or it could be that AMD has postponed again. <cry>

Decided to call asus about the board just to see if they knew anything at all.

The guy seemed to know the board exactly (including the SB750) he said while not 100% certainty 1-2 months.

but he also went on to say that sometimes people will call with boards with them not even knowing they've released, so I wouldn't take it to seriously but just thought i'd give it a shot.

I Want that DFI! I say though if we don't find something out tommorrow we start talking to manufacturers, someone's gotta know something

I didn't realize that Quakecon starts wednesday.

That might have something to do with an announcement. (With them doing the "GAME.AMD.COM" marketing stuff.)
