Well one of those two things you'll definitely see in 2009
EDIT: Here we go: Magny Cours will use DCM with two Sao Paolo cores:
Why can't they do the same thing with Shanghai !!

why would they do that if the plan is to make quick transition from four to six core CPU, and use that to go to twelve core DCM chip?

    I'm always for 12 over 8

Abit offtopic but it was discussed here. Found the roadmaps on an vr-zone article from may this year.
    Seems we'll get DDR3 support 09.

Very strange that almost all of the new boards just have a 4 phase power supply, even the DFI 790FX.....

The only board with more phases seems to be the Foxconn digital life.

I would assume that a good power regulation is the key when overclocking..

So far only the foxconn seems promising.

And no decent Asus board so far????? Are they sleeping or did they just abandon the AMD platform in favour of Intel?

They got like 3-4 Intel enthusiast boards with fancy design and nothing spectacular for AMD, what a shame. If this persists i might have to go with foxconn.

asus 790fx m3a32 is hte best board out for am2+. so not sure what you mean when you say that asus doesnt have a good amd board out.

bios could be better. but get same results on all bios's so far.

if you actualy think its the SB limiting the phenoms then well....... i must just
and if you think some magic pins are gona make current cpu's OC better then i must

Of course i meant new AM2+ boards including SB750.
Just for your information, if the better oc with the SB750 would be just a rumor then why would a mother board manufacturer put exactly this feature on thier website? To fool people and then to be sued by them? I dont think so.

Just because some people dont understand does not mean it must not work.

It was an accurate reprenstation of SkullCracka's posting style. Yet you didn't complain about him.....

And no, no one ever said that OCs were guaranteed. He pulled that square out of his ass and it has nothing to do with the conversation. What he did say was the extra pins on the SB750 were useless and would not provide betters clocks. You agree with this as well?

Perhaps I have perceived this wrong and if that is the case then I am truly sorry But please man speak legible English without the Internet Kiddie Tongue .
As for the AMD thing all I agree upon is that there is no guaranteed Uber overclocking Phenom or Board as all of this on AMD's end is going through growing pains and it is a process and takes time to mature

Back to the last night post and please take this as constructive criticism and not by any means a personal attack but this.....

Not to remain being off topic but I must say: at least he uses spaces after his punctuation.

you know.i really hate it.when people dont.it just makes it hard to read.do you not agree?and if we add the other garbage.OMG.lawlz.gag.

I think it is some new "fad" that has caught on with some younger folks. A fad that we can hope dies very fast. (Or at least we can hope that they don't breed.)

From what I understand from posts in other forums it is claimed that people get that as a habit from using some kind of messenger tool. They claim it takes too long to type the spaces so they omit them. GAG ME WITH A BASEBALL BAT. Personally I think when people do that they really contribute to the fall of civilization as we know it. (I also include 733T 5p34|<.)

Oh... and to add something ON topic:
If the sb750 adds nothing more than add a fancy auto-overclock, that would not be worth having. If it also gives us better stability then it would be worth investigating. So far all the leaked overclocks look good.

Thats the point of the parody. I can't make it any more obvious than I did. I'm not sure why you aren't getting this.

    SECONDED!

Jesus christ i'm actually getting rather aggrevated by all this waiting now. All I want is a decent looking board (black PCB, non crayola-inspired slots, decent chipset/VRM cooling) that has reliable power regulation so I can get the most from this 9950. DFI, Asus, MSI.... I dont have any brand affinity, I just want whats gonna allow me to get the most out of my hardware and cooling.

    oooh, exciting.

I agree. Does anyone in AMD marketing have a clue? Most universities will be starting the fall semester in about 3-4 weeks, so students are ordering computers now. Does AMD marketing realize they are missing out on all the pre-school orders by delaying the release of these damn motherboards? You can't sell something that you don't release.
