yup thats the one lol i had the first bios in when i tested the board first time.. im confident that i will be able to kick it little bit higher when i have more time and better cooling

hmm sweet .. maybe there is hope ... i can only get my ram to 1069 stable ... and its rated at 1066 ... hopefully this bios will help me get to at least 1100 or something ...

solarfall, why does memset say you have ddr3? is his a bug in memset or the BIOS? or do you have a magical maximus II that uses ddr3?

fsb termination voltage 1.33v
NBv: 1.43
all gtls were on auto

on another note, does anyone else have an issue with the memory showing up as ddr3 on cpuz?? not sure if it's my memory, the mobo, or cpuz. memory is OCZ gold ddr2 800 and it reads fine on other mobos and any version of cpuz, but on maximusII, it's reads ddr3 no matter which BIOS or cpuz version. relaxed the timings and still no difference

I tried crossfire today the result is not as good as I thought

pic 1 stock cpu single 4870
Pic 2 stock cpu 2x 4870

pretty CPU limited there, we benched the P5Q dlx with 2 4870's and got 23K fairly easy with a quad 4ghz... driver issue ?

I have my Maximus II Formula w/E8500 OCCT and everest stable but the machine reboots with some frequency even at idle.
Am I having a hardware problem or is there something else that I am missing.

If it's at idle and never under load it could be loadline calibration that plays parts... try a bit more Vcore...

E8500 + 2x 3870 X2 CF + Maximus 2

3D Mark 03:

But the VCore was only 1,8V, not 1,92V

We had a problem, our power supöy was to weak, so we can not go over 5,15 Ghz, yesterday we try it with a P5E Deluxe Board and one 3870X2, we can run 5,25 Ghz with only 1,7V.

The next session will come, then we take a stronger power suply
