OK, so I didn't get around to the rad mounts today, as my Dremel decided to pack it in about half way through the work. They are all measured up and ready to cut though!

Here's what I did do today:

Measured up the rad hole in the case cover:

Cut it out (hadn't been smoothed up yet):

And put the ACRyan Radgrillz on:

Note that I probably won't have room for mounting bolts and nuts for the Radgrillz, so I will be adhering it on.

Also, ignore the scratches made whilst cutting the hole. The case cover will be stripped pack and powdercoated when the chassis is

    Nice Work Statts!!
Sorry to hear about your Dremel, mine packed up on me last month..... somehow I dont think it was made to get thrown... lol
I actually am currently lining up the Rad on mine (mine will be rows up from the bottom and 2 columns from the front of the case), waiting for my Grill tho before I cut, Im going to get hex head bolts in black and put it all the way through to the Rad.
one question, what are you doing with the rest of the vent holes??
Im going to be putting a plate on the inside and bog filling mine before getting painted.... Painted you ask??

heres a lil sneak preview of what she will look like...

Well, I am going to have a window on the top above the GPU/rad area so that will eliminate those two vent holes.

You are painting yours a matte black but the looks? Should be good

The bolting the grille through the case lid into the rad, how to you plan on taking the lid on and off again afterwards?

Ohh I meant the extra holes around your grill, sorry I should be more specific in future
If you look close its a Very dark grey with splashes of black in there, and it will probably be Satin, not Gloss and not Matte, neither of those two will do it justice...
and Ive played with it, providing I leave a little bit of extra tubing (5cm?? if I measured correct) I will have enough play to be able to unscrew the Rad and Grill and then leave the Rad hanging while I work inside..

Yeh, see we are helping eachother out here, your already further along then me, but because I am working on the exact same case we are sharing Ideas, and I am taking alot of lessons off yourself and Evil's build... so its a pleasure to give something back in return

Im not gonna start a Build Log until I get everything I need in my hands, otherwise it will take too long

OK, been a while since an update. Back at Uni now, so things may slow down a little unfortunately.

Anyway, received a little package in the mail today......

    10x Bitspower 3/8" x 5/8" compression fittings:

Mountings from a Scythe Hard Drive Stabilizer to mount my pump:

    iandh ramsinks for my 8800GT:

Here's the compression fittings fitted to my pump (with Petra's top):

And to my MCRES MICRO (yeah it's dirty, new one coming):

    And to my MCR220:

Planning on making the radiator mounts tomorrow, see how I go, the Dremel is off under warranty return and I really REALLY need it back!

that's too bad that asus mobo didnt fit. it's such a great mATX mobo! what did you do with it afterwards? wanna sell it? and that gigabyte mobo is deactivated on newegg, so where did you buy it and how much? i'm also looking for a high end, good clocking mATX and it seems asus was the only one. i'm currently waiting for DFI to release the only mATX mobo with p45 chipset. this would be perfect for you also for high OC'ing black PCB for your theme, and PCI-e slot on the first slot!

I am in Australia, and there were still a few units floating around at the distributor. This board should clock as well as the Asus, I just wish it was black like the Asus.

DFI boards look good from all reports. Interesting about the PCIE placement, maybe when upgrade time comes....

Well, it's Uni holidays so that means MUCH more frequent updates!

Since last update, I have picked up a new motherboard (DFI Lanparty JR P45-T2RS) and a new video card (XFX 9800GT).

Here's some pics of the work so far:

New video card with FuZion GFX2 installed. Some of my sleeving work can be seen at bottom of pic:

Showing motherboard with FuZion v2 installed:

Next tasks are to modify my iandh ramsinks for the video card as the XFX is not reference design, the mounting holes do not exist and a couple of caps get in the way. Dremel and some thermal adhesive tape will fix this.

Tomorrow is more sleeving and attempt to get my hands on some rotary 45's in a hurry as the clearance for tubing under the power supply is extremely tight!

    Overnight update!

    All labeled up:

    No turning back now! :

All done! Now just have to test it:

Work today, so tonight's job is shorten the ATX 8pin and maybe mount the radiator.
