As I suspected regarding the Nehalem Tri memory controller ... I am sure that OCZ is working on a tri channel memory kit for the new platform. As far as the dual-channel DDR3 for the UT X48 T3R board is concerned, what speed would you suggest?![]()

Well I've finally gotten around to installing SANDRA on my computer to see how she runs.
Well first thing I noticed if I go to Computer Overview, the computer shuts down hard. Yikes.
Also, when I run the CPU arithmatic test, the system locks up but after about 5 minutes I do get a result.
I am running completely stock everything, no bios tweaks. Vista Ultimate 64 with latest updates, drivers and patches. Any ideas?

Ok. So my E8400 is stable at 4000 Mhz on 1.26 Vcore. I'm having trouble going over 4000 though. The problem is that I can't seem to stabilize a 4200 Mhz overclock on any voltage up to and including 1.31 Vcore. The other issue I'm having is that no matter what setting I change in the bios, whether it be the VID or the VID special add, the voltage won't go above 1.31 until I hit a spot at around 1.34 Vcore. WHen I got it to finally boot at 1.34 and tried to run stress tests, I got BSOD within a few minutes. Any suggestions?
Here are the settings I was usiing for 4200 Mhz
Vcore - 1.34 - (CPU VID @ 1.2375 + VID Special add @ about 108.2%)

Hi Guys, just finished my first build and everything running great, taking babysteps on the overclocking and doing alot of reading, knowledge is King.
Only issue I have is the computer tries to enter standby(seems like everything is shutting down S3 state but then resumes to desktop)then get a CF post code reading after the attempted standby. Tried loosening the ram to 5 5 5 15 still nothing 1:1 ratio so I went back to 4 4 4 12 at 1:1. Tried raising the tRFC to 52 from 36 still nothing....any ideas, maybe you've had this issue PRAZ.
Maybe the board doesn't like my 667mhz ram?

Hello,
Wonder if I will be able to use Thermalright SI-128 SE for LT version of this board?
If so, which orientation?
I read through almost the entire thread and most people here that are using air cooled seem to be using TRUE.
TRUE is also a good air cooler, but I wanted to give SI-128 SE a try. I like the fact that it helps cool other components as well.
Thank you.
i got my cpu stable @ 8x500again never thought i go past 4.0 stable lol after all the abuse she took
had to bump vtt 0.03v+ had to set gtls to 145 135 115
hope it dont die untill i get me an e8600![]()

i have fsb at 438 with cpu vtt 1.3 and gtl at 120 110 90 is correct?
thx
I have easily got my Q6600 running at 3304 Mhz, 8 hours prime stable with a max temp of 59'c
I am having trouble getting upto 3400, I know I can nudge up the vCore but I was wondering if there is anything else I should be looking at adjusting instead?
Also I am looking at some OCZ PC 8500 RAM and I was wondering if it is compatible with the DFI board.

i have q6600 another strange question...
i have ocz reaper 1066 ddr2 2.1v and set him at 1098 the strange issue are with 2.0v work well without error, instead 2.1v cause error and at 2.2v more error of 2.1...why?
but a month ago worked well at 2.1

Any idea why when I go to computer overview in SANDRA I get a hard shutdwon? It seems like it is trying to access something that the motherboard doesn't like. Help?
