    Dfi's new x48 model THE X48 DK T2RSB

This model boards a 6 PHASE digital design and a removable northbridge. THis means that the northbridge can be changed for a water block WITHOUT having to source out the PWM heatsinks at the same time!

THe price of course will be a little more than the previous X48 T2RS and ofcourse it will be benched thoroughly by yours truly

Good to see DFI improving and innovating.

Looks like an awesome board. For my Kentsfield I'm still glad I got the slightly better PWM on the "higher end" model, but this thing just looks great. I'm sure that for the price it will be one of the best boards around, assuming the prices aren't inflated by lack of supply.

Weird, the DK X48-T2RSB PLUS is spec'ed as "Ultimate 4-phase digital PWM with 12 MOSFETs". The page has an bigger pic of this board.

    Click "enlarge view".

Probably just an error, just pointing it out. Also, its listed as LANPARTY DK X48-T2RSB PLUS , so I was not 100% sure if its the same board or there is another version...Name difference and supposed pwm difference. But the board is identical in the pics anyway

Yeah that don't look like no 6-phase digital PWM to me. The DK series has always had low-end (4-phase) analogue PWMs.

Looks like it's a cheaper version of DFI LANParty DK X48-T2RS, notice the lack of presence of the ferrite core inductors on the memory & northbridge phases and aluminum heatpipe. I don't see where DFI is going with this, just another BIOS for one man army to maintain, but it should be identical to T2RS.

Slightly more expensive than the current X48 DK? I think I'd pass if that's the case, as the current DK is only "marginally" cheaper than the LT (~30€) and UT (~50€) here in Germany/Europe.

Slightly OT, but does anyone know if the P45 DK will get the same treatment, beefier 6-phase PWM etc., with the "PLUS" version?

grrr.. the placement of the pci-e 1x slot is baaaad. well, bad for anyone with a pair of 2 slot video cards. DFI has done this on all of their x48 boards.. grrr! I was going to get one but now I think I will get the Asus Rampage.. the layout on that board is so darn nice.

    Yep buddy

Boards will be delivered to enta end of this week-next week at the most in the UK first, I will check with DFI Max when hes online tomorrow to check availability for you in down under.

Incidently Dis, nice to see you again.

Any DFI questions I am your first port of call, as some of my feedback went into the design of some of these boards. So the T2RSB is kinda my baby! In addition alot of my suggestions went into ABS, in addition I helped with some of the bug testing on it.

my apologies for the image ,but this is part of the 'sales kit' for this board.
