soon there will be a reguler OC competition in my town, and i'm thingking to bring my sticks into setup

what is the best vdimm if you bench it around 5-6 hours with bandwith 1150-1280 Cl4, one of my friend ussualy gave 2.8V to his team extreem, to give an ultimate stabilize , but with my sticks can it go lower ? thx..

Used to be good when newly buy(560mhz,5-4-4-12,2.35V).
Now already degrade.Nothing stable more then DDR 2 980 and DDR 2 1000 cannot pass 3dm01 lobby testNeed a pair of Xtreem 1066

2.35v its much to use without any cooler on the tracers

i just bought another set pc2-6400 16fd5 to add to my collection
i couldnt resist 40$ lol
i bet they do 1220+ @ 2.03v i'll post results when i get em
dont be pumpin 2.3v+ unless you got reverves lol
i only pump 2.3+ into d9gkx
update : pc6400 16fd5 need 2.35v to get to 1200mhz not even close to big brother pc2-8500 wich needs 2.03v
and only 980mhz on cas 4 2.3v

Mine need around 2.5V to run Cl4 1200, single 32mil pi stable.

That's the bare minimum, add in a little more for stability. Say around 2.6-2.65

Then again it depends on the rams itself. I've seen some doing it at 2.35V

I would like to ask if its normal that my ballistix need 2.14v to run @ 1066 5-5-5-15 (400strap) to pass memtest+ without errors. I have pushed them till 1133Mhz@2.1v but havent run metest at that speed.

2.14v isn't very much. Some modules are just not binned as well, so I'd say its not abnormal at all.

Thank yoiu for the quick answer. I was just worried cause i see speeds like 1200+ @ 2.2v (maybe not memtest error free) posted and i was worried of possible defective modules.

1200 to reach u will need some decent volts, unless u got nice modules.

just make sure u got them cooled Properly

Sounds like my Ballistix 6400 D9GHMH kit, except I can get DDR2-1000 CAS4 with 2.2V.

after 6 months @1200+ i decided to run memtest but this i reduced volts lol
2.02 @ 1220mhz 2.7 passes lol in memtest

I got a kit of 16FD5 8500s off ebay but they don't seem to like 1200 with any voltage on my Striker Extreme. I tried as low as 2.02 and as high as 2.35.

5-5-5 of course. I tried tRAS of 12, 15 and 18. No go. DDR2-1150 passes MemTest though, so it may just be a limitation of this particular kit.
