The idea is to make the point in a way that the little bugger will remember
    1) Go to store and buy a pound of jalapenos
    2) Take and mince in blender, then pour into tupperware container, cover and set aside.
    3) wait for "wash" day, when this little cherubs weeks worth of undies are in the pile of clothes to be washed.
    4) Separate his underwear from all else.
    5) Run a load of just his undies and when the machine goes to the rinse cycle pour in the jalapenos.
The rinse water will make damned sure that the jalapenos excrete all their oil and permeate the clothing with it.
When junior next put's on said pair of affected clothing nothing will happen until he starts to sweat a little as all humans do.
Then just sit back and watch the fireworks.. Literally..
    A lesson learned..
    This!

And this thread is win on so many levels xD Well - on a more serious note, i've been trying to trip-proof a rig or two in the past when necessary, and yeah, flip the PSU is the best idea.

Here's a thought. you could go to a hardware store and go straight to the electrical dept. Pick up two plastic electrical junction boxes, use a drill or a dremel to remove some of the plastic so only the cord comes out, then bolt one to the computer and one to the wall outlet.

the fact he is still getting away with doing this says something.

have to be careful with kids these days. years ago i had one of the damn things kicking a ball near and hit my car. he knew i couldnt do anything and told me so, i said that if it happened again i was going to cut his mum and dads arms off, put them in a blender and make him drink it.

it worked and he was about 8 - never had an issue again.

what? i think you are sayin' tell your mom he did something worse than he did. if that's the case, do it. most parents know nothing about computers. say it's the same as if a power surge hit when he unplugs it. then he'll really get it

I say step up and be the bigger brother. Slap that little disturber around.

ahh, I like that, in addition to the jalapeno's in the blender, a few of his game cd's.. Those chopped fine enough should make a fine addition mixed into his undies..

    tho i LOVE Movieman's ideas... here's something that's a bit simpler...

Cucumber Leaves, Pumpkin Leaves or any of the sort...
dry out the underside of it...
take a razor and shave the lil fibers...
sprinkle it in his drawers that hold his undies... shirts... whatever...

    no odor,
    no mess,
    no fuss,
    almost invisible to the eye...
    priceless effect...

New development... take advantage of the situation! Get into LN2 and DICE overclocking. When you kill a component, stick it into your desktop and piss the kid off! He yanks the cord, "kills" your computer, you diagnose it, and then tell your parents it'll cost $xxx to fix!

it itches like a mofo... depending on the skin... tender skin, it pierces in...

not only cukes and pumpkin leaves... any leaves that has that kind of "hairs" in the underside... when dried, becomes quite an irritating flake/powder/needle/fiber... whatever you wanna call it...

first of all i would tell him that what he is doing is extremely stupid and childish, I would then inform him that doing this can actually damage the computer. Then inform your parents should he damage your pc by doing this they will be purchasing the new parts to replace the broken ones. That usually sorts the problem out.

The psyche of a small child is delicate and must be handled professionally and with great care. Children are susceptible to psychological damage if your response to this bad behavior is not correct. You must move gingerly to navigate the fragile landscape of a child's mind in order to not disturb or damage him which could lead to great problems down the road. So my professional recommendation on how to deal with your little brother appropriately, is that you beat the living sh*t out of that little f*ck until he can't see, and then tell him that the next time he pulls that cord out you're gonna leave him swinging from a tree with it.
