fine and fine. your E8400 will hit its wall before the motherboard hits its FSB wall. i've known people that ran their memory as high as DDR 2000 on this board. there is no real reason to go higher than that unless you're just looking for bragging rights.

My goals were 4.5ghz and DDR3 2000 so hopefully I'll be able to achieve that!

I was thinking about using a 2x2gb kit from either G.Skill (I have a lot of good experiences from them) or OCZ.

EDIT: I'm guessing you were referring to the X38 version, am I correct?
