I am working with Gigabyte now on the 2x2GB kits, the board was tuned for benching with 2x1GB kits. Gigabyte, like others, was not necessarily worried about stability with 4GB kits as it turns out. It should be fixed shortly, the DS3R is working very well now with 4GB after the last BIOS update.
