    What's your board's revision SF3D ?
And could you please give us a pic of the NB ? ( good enough to read the writings )

    Revision is 1.02G.

I haven't ripped NB cooler of yet, so you have to wait a bit.

Do you think that there is new version of P45 too?

600fsb is really easy, but I have problems to go past it. I'll test 0904 bios today and see if it helps.
You are as good as your samples are!

Maybe a new revision ( not sure, but it could be ) or a minor revision "silently" applied to the latest batches.
Maybe nothing, just better luck on the MCH pick.

One thing's for sure, that with each new BIOS release the memory clocking will be getting better, the only question is... how much.

    Can you post some settings?

    - Performance level ?
    - Voltages : NB ? ? VTT ? vPLL ? GTL-ref tuning ?

Can't get to 600FSB myself, top out at 595 for now on bios 0904.

Nice going by the way !

Edit : saw your PL in the screenshots : 10 & 11 Voltages still interest me though

Memset show the memory settings and voltages were

    CPU: 1:45V
    NB: 1.56V
    VPLL: 1.6
    VTT: 1.22V
    rest: auto

-Tony: I have only one 4GB ram set and they haven't done over 850MHz (1700) in any board so far. I don't think they will clock any better on this board.

Best bios seems to be 0704. Weird!

The official 0904 dated Jul 08, 2008 while the "old" 0904 dated Jul 03, 2008.... any difference?

something not right here, are you guys booting this speed from bios or are you booting in as lot lower and pushing up with setfsb?

I agree Tony, something is not right, at least with our boards At these settings my board won't even post lol.

    My settings for 575x7 / E8400 :

    PL: 13 (!)
    CPU : 1,375
NB: 1.48V (above 1.50 board is acting up - might be cooling related)
    VPLL: 1,70
    VTT: 1,36
    GTLref : 0,620-0,630
    NB strap : 266 (!)
    Memory : 1725Mhz (2:3) - 87728 (OCZ Flex II - Samsung based)

Not stable enough for me though : prime for about 5min, but not much more. Also, 7x multi worked much better for me than 6 or 6,5.

Edit : I'm on watercooling (only CPU)

It was a few weeks since I tested this board now but out of my head I think you both are kind of right.

The feeling I got was that vNB, vPLL and vTT needs to be at a certain level compaired with eachother. If I recall right vNB=1.56 and vPLL=1.7 was what took me to the highest FSB. But to make it stable just a few mhz lower FSB I had to lower one of them.

The highest 3D-benchable FSB I tested was 595. Strap 333 seemed to be a little more stable than 266. It worked best if I set vcore, vnb, vpll, vtt and the rest to auto. I have not tried x.5 multipliers that much with high FSB as I until now only have used aircooling. I have not tried any newer BIOS than 0704 but so far max RAM-speed has been around 1900MHz with CAS7 (G.Skill 2x1GB, D9GTR).

I hope to try 0904 within a couple of days.

Guys, I think I've already had it with this board. I've tried every Dram clk skew under the sun to get my kits to post in dual channel. Tried black and orange slots. nothing works. I can run 2x2 in single channel just fine but bandwidth is crap.
I had this same problem on my P5e3 dlx x38.
Both sticks pass memtest separately but board will not post in dual channel. Does anyone have any tricks up their sleeves for me? I'm out of ideas here. I've tried everything.
even the 2x1 reaperx (micron D9GTN) kit wont post in dual. I'm gonna rma this board and get ws evolution or p5e3 premium.

just so everyone knows we are using fully jedec compliant spd on all ocz kits, this has also been double checked with Intel for the BT2 bundles etc so we know there is nothing wrong with spd and Intel chipsets.

Now, asus may require a tweak to this spd, we are looking into it this next week but being honest I doubt it will do anything.

from talking to engineers noise dual channel seems to be the issue, P45 is really sensitive and jitter throws a spanner in the works with this chipset when memory load climbs up.

I tested MSI, Asus and GBT boards with ddr3 4gb kits, they are all pretty much crap at this time. 2GB kits are working a lot better with the samsung IC doing better than Micron. So if all these guys posting 600fsb matters to you make sure you get a 2gb samsung based kit, if like me 2gb is not enough then consider buying one of the 4GB samsung kits till a miracle happens in bios or I find some wonder spd tweak that removes jitter..LOL

Thank you for this. 600FSB straight boot once I put the NB GTL to 0.545. NO higher yet, but the magical 6 appeared

Over 460 on a quad is good luck in most eyes.

My QX will do 514 fsb on this board (cpu-z only ***not stable***)

The max I can bench it (1m) is 511 fsb
