And Corsair will be confused at sudden sales of older ram monday
Only thing is that Corsair, nor anyone else for that matter, has any of this stuff left in inventory.

Fatbody chips have long been EOL.

    V1.5 Corsair 5400UL's

All combinations of 2 for RAS to CAS Read delay and trp yielded no additional benefits. 2-3, 3-2, 2-2.

    harleybro,

Did you notice this part of MaSell's opening post....

1:2 really sux in P5K for me. 5:8 is much better for ram clocking
From the screenies, it appears that your were using 1:2 as well. Did you try any other dividers?

Lastly, how do those clocks compare to prior overclocking results on different chipsets?

I was just trying quickly to see if there was a differance in setting 2-2. I am actually working on 32m. Honestly this is the first time I dug them out since I used them on P5WD2. I have been running my cellshocks since I got them and they seem to like tighter subtimings all the way around. I will be trying some 32m to see what these do.

My RAM runs very slowly on P965 DS3 rev 1, but was able to run 4-2-2-2 @ 900 MHz (450 fsb) with A-data 8500. Noticed superpi 1M times came down very slightly, but these timings were very unstable and setting RAS-cAS write 3 cycles caused a lock up or reboot. I agree, the other timings aren't settable (P965) and have no effect on performance.

Ok tras does not like anything below 10 at these speeds. Trfc may go as low as 26 but anything less then 25 locks them up. Write to precharge doesn't like below 10. After playing around for 2 hours here's a 32m. The time is horrible only thing does was run in service mode and high priority with core affinity set to better one. This took 2.78v. Setting to 2.8 seemed to lock it up fast:

Further testing to compare my cellshocks since I know sub timings run alot tighter. Same OS and same settings affinity in diagnostic mode with priority set to high.

    This is at 2.45v:

Now a comparison of timings. The UL's on the left and the cellshocks on the right. Areas circled in green shows where the UL's shine. Areas in red any time I tried tighter on the UL's the system would lock before even starting 32m.

Just bought those 5400UL v1.5 from my overseas buddy Jay, will try them on eVGA 680i LT SLI @ full SLI to see if i can manage to sqeeze a few MHz more on nF680i platform.

    Dying of anticipation here!

I had some OCZ 4200 EB fatbodies that would do 3-2-2 @ 920MHz with only 2.1v, although they could not reach that high of MHz, if I remember correctly. My current Crucial 10th Anny's can do 4-4-4 @ 1066MHz with the same 2.1v.

I had no luck changing the CAS latencies on my P5B using MemSet. I could set the CAS to 3, 4, 5, and although the setting would show up on cpu-Z and other programs, the actual CAS latency did not change. SuperPi times were the same no matter what the MemSet CAS setting was set to.

I'm glad to see that your interest in fatbodys hasn't waned with the passing of time...neither has mine.

It seems that Asus P5Q Delux, is not that happy with fatboy as my Commando.
All though running 4.3.3.9 on my best singel kit Corsair 5400ul it could not get up to the 600 like on the Commando (4.3.2.8) 2.6v, only 585 :-(
We are talking spi 1m stabel

BTW, I thought timings lower than 3 were impossible on P35? I know 955x and 975x could do it, but the newer chipsets had problems with it. I don't know about X38/48 though.
