    Where are you looking? Performance-PCs has them for $12, the 1/2" pair, which means $6 each and $9 the 3/8" pair, or $4.50 each:

    The pricing pretty good for these Koolance, I use 3/8", I wouldn't use compression fittings with 1/2" though.

    The bits-power are more expensive, about $10 each, so I agree there, it's expensive.

    that's what I saw. $13 twin compression fitting against a few bucks compared to 'normal' ones
