As 64Dragon say's, the motherboard tray is not symmetrical in relation to the backplate. There will be murderMod backplates available for both ATX and inverted ATX orientations - for those of you that swing the other way.

Our goal is to have the website up and running and be ready to take orders by July 21st - hopefully. No price yet since it's still only virtual.

Is there a particular question regarding sleeving SATA cables or do you need it explained step by step?

Sleeving SATA cables is much like the birds and the bees... the cable is the...uhh... well... ok, the sleeve is like a... umm...

As for the new backplate being a little too much, well, it may not be for everyone and until we have a working prototype made, it's still only virtual.

    EDIT: You too Nils

SECOND EDIT: I'll just throw this idea out there: What if on the top of that design where you have the word "murderMod", you did the same dripping blood looking thing like on the front panel. Then it just flowed into the squigglies on the bottom, with the murderMod word on the bottom horizontally just like it does on the top panel? I don't know if I described that very clearly, but it sort of ties in the front AND top all into one piece of heaven. No?
    Cheers.

I don't see any reason why we can't incorporate the new backplate into your case.

As for your idea - it's exactly something we played with. We tried all kinds of stuff. Nils even came up with the idea of creating the same touch sensitive "spot" we use on the front plate to activate the optical drive door, but instead having it turn on and off the lighting. It get's a bit complicated though, essentially because the back plate is only 1/16" thick as opposed to the 1/8" of the front panel. We'll definitely explore a more elaborate design for the future but for now, we'll get a prototype made of the present design and see how it looks in reality.

hehe, you can have one for your wall but you can't alter murderMod 0001. Don't worry, I'll create something totally unique for you.

I love the fact you've carried the little details on throught the case, like the little acrylic and metal bits that support the ribbing are just a jenius level of attenetion to detail.
    Thank you Mankz.

I was deeply inspired by your work in Watery. Simply brilliant.

    My pleasure. Enjoy, my friend.

Render Treats: Concept renders of the next featured project. Hopefully, we'll start the build in early August. When we have more details, we'll create a worklog and answer any and all questions. For now our focus is getting the new website up and running - ready for orders.
