I have the 2x2GB version of this kit at home, waiting on a heatsink for the BlackOps build.

I got mine from Newegg yesterday and had the ram running at 1800 7-7-7-18 1T no problems. I updated the BIOS to 0401 on first start up before loading windows. First PI run was 14.XXX. Didn't get much time to play because of work this morning but will get into some heavy testing in a few hours and will post some results.

    Enjoy

Hey has anyone tried using 4 x 1gb sticks for 64-bit? Just wondering how high they OC?

depends on the board, on 790 4x1gb seem to clock slightly better

does anyone know if I am likely to be able to hit 1800mhz at 7-7-7-24-2N with 4 of these sticks on a P5E3 Premium? I currently have 2x2gb OCZ reapers and they will not run any tighter than 8-8-8-27-2n regardless of voltage, skew, etc. Perhapes I shouldn't complain, beacuse at their stock timings they are totally stable at 1800mhz which is alot better than the nightmares I had with the 1600mhz platinum kit that I had.

I see the kind of timings that you guys with the 2x1gb kits are able to run, and I guess I get a lil' bit jealous. LoL!

well thats why i and many others recommend 4x1gb

you can pick the best 2 sticks and run them in the best 2 slots to bench, and for 24/7 you load a BIOS profile for lower mem clock and more relaxed timings and throw in the other 2 sticks if you are on windows xp most likely you wont even need more than 2gb anyways

if you can hit 1800 cas7 with 4 sticks... on the premium im not so sure... on 790 ive already seen 2 people with cellshock do it.

    Saaya,

Thanks for the input. I ask the question, because I am on Vista 64. I don't mind running 4x1gb if it works better, but I am not woried about pulling 2 sticks for benchmarking. The only benchmarks that I worry about are the ones that come from settings that I can run 24/7. My current ram is pretty nice, giving me about 10,900 read, 9500 write, 9925 copy, and Latency of 49.0 ms. I would switch my ram for something that I can run 7-7-7 timings, but I don't know if that will be possble. In time, perhapse kits with tighter, and tighter timings will come out. I hope so, because FSB higher than 450mhz is really hit or miss, especially for the guys running quad core CPU's. Unless you have a Nvidia chipset, most people cant run DDR2000 with 4gb at voltages that can be safely run 24/7.

I just bought pair of G.Skill 2GB F3-12800CL7D-2GBHZ along with
DFI T3RS board. I slowly worked on removing heatspreader, discovered
that they are in fact D9GTS.

So far the 2x2 version of this kit is somewhat disappointing. Moved latencies from 777 to 888, increased nearly 200 on the frequency, set for 2.04 volts, and still can't get it stable. It might still be me not knowing the motherboard well enough though.

    hahaha

show me something to knock me down a peg or two then

seriously though, the 790i is absolutely a freak when it comes to this sort of thing. to be honest, i haven't even pushed that Ballistix kit much and certainly not for just Everest Read. i'm sure it could go much higher, and if i ever have time, it will
