and the only difference i see is 8 phase vs. 16 phase
judging from the pictures taken from this thread ( p5q-e) and the deluxe from the other thread, I see they used Push-pins on the E and bolts on the deluxe on the PWM /mosfets heatsinks, And both are using push-pins on the NB and SB. Can u confirm this Chrisch, thanks

P5Q-Deluxe have backplates for the mosfet cooler, P5K-E not.

i think the deluxe have more mosfets (on the backside) because it have 16 and not 8 phase

What type of difference does it make Xfire 4850 on this board vs. P45 Maximus II Formula vs. X48?

I'm trying to make purchase decision.

Its a real hard tossup between the -E and Deluxe versions
lots and lots of cores and lots and lots of tuners,HTPC's boards,cases,HDD's,vga's,DDR1&2&3 etc etc all powered by Corsair PSU's

I wonder if the 16 phase Would really help with overclocking with f.e. a Quadcore, since the BIOS are the same then it would be almost a no-brainer to get the E over Deluxe

Does the P5Q-E have a dual bios like the Deluxe ?

What maximum FSB can be attained with a E8400 ? I would need 580 Mhz.

And a final question : what is the heatsinks height, around the socket ? Indeed, I use a phase change cooler and the evaporator head may be hampered by the heatsinks.

how to "fix" the latency and read issue. more fsb... lots more. the board can do it w/ relatively low vcore if you dial in the gtl.

    quick bandwidth pr0n.

everest is reading my ddr2 as ddr3... wonder why

I have another question : I own a 9800 GTX graphic card and I use 6 SATA ports. If I connect all my SATA cables on the red ports (ICH10R), 1 cable will collide into the graphic card, isn't it ?

In this case, I may connect 2 SATA cables on the orange ports, controlled by the Silicon Image chip. But are they as high-performance as the ICH10 ones ? And I am not forced to do RAID on these orange ports since they are advertised for Drive Xpert ?

honestly, i never tried air or water on this board

im using the stock heatsink array though for nb and pwm no mods what so ever, didnt even touch the pushpins... just have a fan blowing over it is all. the e8500 i have in it now (1.225 vid ) seems to have a maxfsb of 595... the e7200 could push 615fsb on this board so i know its the cpu at this point. i dont have good enough ram to push this board to the limit. can anybody recommend any ddr2 1300 capable

    Straight to phase very nice

DDR2 Ballistix clock nice, I find they die too frequently even when you cool them

Was your Vapochill stock or modded?

completely stock. evap head @ -42 the entire time. though this cpu is high vid... it seems to run really cool at higher voltage. it also likes the 9 multi much better than the 9.5

ive tried ballistix and i did not like them honestly. they were almost twice as much as my mushkins and would not clock as high... plus the heatspreaders were poo poo.

I also got my P5Q-E yesterday, together with an E8400, I managed to get it to 9x443MHz "out of the box", just by increasing the Vcore and the FSB - but I want to get it a lot higher, can you please post your settings??

    Thanks a lot!!

And what do you think is the max. Vcore I should give the E8400? It's on intel box-cooler right now, but will be under water, soon...
