I'm pretty sure both the T2R and T3R come with actual Thermalright heatsinks (and ability to add the HR NB block, even comes with mounting hardware to make the HR work)! I just ordered one myself and looking forward to getting it!

    EDIT REASON: Idiot!

The heatsink assemblies are the same on the DDR2 and DDR3 UT boards.

That's the LT version. It does not come with the heatpipe cooling solution and the external heatsink. Those are only for the UT versions and i don't know if DFI has an UT X48 T2R... not in my country anyway.

Didn't Thermalright make the X48 LT NB heat sink also though?
I'm pretty sure i remember reading that in my owners booklets and stuff.

As far as I know, there is no UT variant of the T2R, so you have to live with that "minotaur" heatsink assembly. The T3R comes with a "hedgehog" style heatsink for the northbridge, you'd have to buy a HR-05 to put there if you wanted one, though if you had a TRUE120, you'd probably need an HR-05 SLI so it would fit.

My apologies, I've only been following DDR3 boards with any interest.

I think the UT versions have a digital PWM while the LTs have an analogue one, but going on my track record with info I wouldn't quote me

Nope,he asked about T3RS and T3R.Probably in number of SATA connector, that was difference with DK series and difference about UT and LT is only in cooling, nothing more

Told you my info was untrustworthy. Add to that the fact that I apparently can't read and you get to where my post was

    Hey Guys!

    *SUBSCRIBED!*

Mine will be here tomorrow hopefully. Does this come with just the cooler that sticks out the back of the case, or does it come with the large HR-05-like NB cooler as well? Newegg's picture only showed the rear heatsink.

Anyway, I'll be testing max FSB with the E8600 E0 I got today. Should be VERY exciting and I'll definitely post as soon as I can.

Still haven't seen anyone posting 550+ FSB with this, though.

For sure. Compare board voltage to temperatures. I removed the finned upper portion of the NB heatsink and put a MCW30 on it.
