    Don't say to me! Now i have a new 9850 (it's the fourth!), and it seems to go a little better. It's RS at 3000 / 2880 / 3000 /2880 with NB @ 2400mhz, and 1.4V vcore.
I have to do some other test, but it seems that the fourth core can't go over 2900mhz, and then it limits the OC.

Soon i'll tell you the batch of this new cpu.

    Bye

heat sink only go up to 40C. AOD reads 65C but speed fan read 50C & so core temp....
I'm having a little trouble with this BE.

seem like it won't go very high for me. temps seem low, except for what AOD says.

    any suggestion ?

I didn't realize this was here.. here is my screen shot and CPU-Z verfied link check my sig for system specs. I got 12hours on Prime. 1Hour AOD and some Cinebench and 3DMark06. I was wondering how to find the Batchj info with out removing the Chip? I guess I could reboot and look..I'll edit with that info.... I had 1.42v when running Prime. I added a second fan to my 64 Freezer pro.

Well i thought it was in bios under system info.. I do not want to remove my heat sink to find this.. isn't there software or some way to find this (Batch Info)?

nice chip & speed charged3800z24 although 1.42v seem a bit.

if you've read & looked around you'll see that the 0812 week me & a few others have don't clock at all.

I used the cooler for my BE on my 9550 on different board; gezz that thing is tight I can see why people feel like there motherboards

    going to crack or break.

my rosewill cooler only got about half that pressure, may be less.

I was tkinking that maybe a few of these 812 have a convex IHS not making real good contact with the die. Thats probably why the

stock coolers go on so tight. for them.

AOD & core temp 0.99 said my CPU got to 80C O_O......but never got a overheat screen, or slow down. how ever speed fan said 55C

I only had 1.42 on the Prime run.. I have it down 2 1.36 right now. I ran stock v-core when @ 2.9ghz. This thing clocks well Though when in prime I was reaching 70*C.. I need a water cooling setup. When she get hot she doesn't clock well. I was going thermal shut down before I added the second fan. Then she ran Prime with out a glitch.

    9850BE - 0812 EPMW - ~2.8Ghz @ 1.373 vCore

The K9A2 Platinum has been good to me.. Tho I feel there is not enough Power. When I kick prime on or 3DMark06 or Games heck even the web.. I hear my second CPU fan (because it is loudest) draw down in speed. CPU utilazation goes up.. Fan looses power....

I haven't experienced anything like that so far, however I'm running H20 and most my fans are pulling power directly from the PSU. I'm still not very happy with the mosfet HS on this board, a couple are barely covered, can't believe they'd let something like that slip.

As far as OC'ing, I've basically hit a brick wall around 2.8Ghz, I can start to boot a linux live CD all the way up to 3.4Ghz however I get the "Secondary Clock interrupt etc.." message. Anything else above 2.8Ghz requires way to much of a voltage hike to be remotely stable for me.

Its a corsair TX650W, 52A on a single 12V rail. I can run 3dmark and a few others at something like 2880 with 241HT but anything above that requires 1.5+ vcore.

This was the best I could do with 3dmark06 @ 3Ghz

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7272413

I'm really hoping that the new SB750 boards will help me get over the 2.8Ghz bump and past 3 Ghz with a reasonable vcore.

i doubt the board wil let u use less vcore on the phenom to ge 2.8 + stable. but it would be super cool if it did.

what is a good 24/7 setting for 9850BE?

Seems to be a mixed bag, it looks like the older Phenom's are clocking a lot better from what I'm reading on this thread. I'd say anywhere from 2.8 - 3.0 Ghz is reasonable.

I feel 2.9ghz was super sweet on my setup I ran it forever on stock V-Core. I game a lot and never had any issues. Although, with the 3.1 setup, I do have more V-Core but I enabled balanced power settins in vista and I figure when browsing the web etc.,, it evens out .

That was a good score.. what you running in VGA configuration?..My score was 14831 @2.9ghz, I have hit higher CPU score with higher clocks, but never ran with my GPU conifigured like they were on my highest run.

I have your stepping chip aswell, it was my first 9850, OC'd horribly, ended up buying another and banked the old one.

As far as my vid setup, just 840 / 1200 on both 3870's is all.

Same stepping as yours! I've run pretty solid at 3.0 GHz but need better cooling to clock higher ...

I second that, if I remove my second fan I cannot run at 3.1ghz. I could only hit 2.9ghz stable.
