Really guys this PL stuff is a known issue (or whatever you want to call it) and it's more to P45 related as the early Gigabyte boards have the same high PL... think you can compare this board like with the 965 early revs, great FSB but a bit slower than the 975 clock for clock...
Issue or not if you compare eg the P35DS4 with exact same timings and this P5Q Dlx, there really isn't going much and that test is 2 PL difference... also be aware that P45 is so fresh yet performance and stability is already pretty good... more performance will come for sure...
See post 906 and 913 for comperative results... not that bad... In fact I was worried at start too but after doing some comperative stuff it doesn't bother me at all... at the moment I will not be able to beat my old SuperPi times, maybe in the near future...
If you want a good PL you need good ram, as the 1:1 is locked around 9-10, best thing to use a divider and test best PL then...
