Nvidia has serious yield problems with the GT200.

Well you can only fit around 90-100 of those dies on a wafer....
Has anyone got any idea what a single wafer costs for the likes of NVIDIA? $5000? $10000?

Wafer costs $5000 and can fit 94 GT200 dies. So that is $53.2 per Die.
40% failure rate so that would be 37 dies. 37 dies costs almost $2000.
In other words, GT200 is one big failure for nVidia.
