Well, I need some help here...

I always get a D4 code at the boot when I try to boot from 800Mhz at the RAM... No matter what!!

Thing is that I bought Cell shock 14400 8-7-6@1,7-1,9v, seriously thinking that it was an ram issue...
Damn, does anybody have idea of what I should do in bios to get RAM frequency over 800Mhz ??


Actually I boot with the 0115 bios version and the other I tested all gave me the same problem! (tried 0401 and 0201)

Please, I'm so pissed off right now, what the HECK is that mobo doing to me!!! I tried all DIMM's and it's always a no go

I solved the problem quite simply: upgraded from BIOS version: passed to 0501 and it's a GOOD thing!!!!!

Try this for hi FSB & hi RAM frequency:

Use BIOS 0115, strap 200, 3:5 divider, PL 8, LLC performance, clock twister lighter.

Should give You a nice surprise.............

Hm....... - set all skew to "normal"..... - 3:5 divider is only possible with 200 strap

BTW, did You laeve all the 2nd & 3rd timings at AUTO ? Only thing I recommend to change is tRFC, set it to 72 or maybe 60.

yes the 2nd and 3rd timings where on auto.
I try to set all skews to normal, also I've set trfc at 72 and 60 and still a D4 damn code... I can go to 0X01 bios and see again?!... Thank you Camouflage.

That's very strange - maybe Your RAM requires a different PL from mine - did You try PL 9 ?

3:5 divider (also 2:3 & 5:8) does not work with BIOS 0501........., only 1:2 & 1:1.

What code? When I use BIOS 0401 or 0501 I get a black screen - there's even no boot @ anything else than 1:1 or 1:2 divider for me...

the code shown on the debug-card. So my best chance would be to return on original 0115 bios and face the adversity ?? No problemo just need to relax before doing so because............ D4 code, I HATE you!!!!!

Ah, I see - code on debug card....., never kept an eye on it...

Best You can do is return to 0115 - keep the settings I posted before & try to adjust Your RAM to a working speed.

You should do this only by varying the FSB - keep 200 strap & 3:5 divider.

There must be a way............

BTW - I can only run PL 8 on 200 strap - 266 & 333 strap work only PL 9 or PL 10. 400 strap is a no-go for me.......

Don't know what yoy guys have done with BIOS 0504 but thx for this BIOS. Far better FSB with this BIOS than any previous one's with regard to my QX9770. Managed 470 FSB (on multiplier 10 ) on my 9770 in SuperPi but of course crashed when saving sceen shot in Paint...

This was of course done with quite plain settings and no Skrew of any kind and it would help a lot if you have any tips on how to take it one step further with a Quad and 2*2048 RAM's. Thx!

Hehe no regret anymore i didnt get P45 for the Wolfdale and LN2 Not much time for now but FSB is nice
