Well for some money is not an issue I guess...
By the way GDDR3 is rated for 125 degrees celsius...
Because it's the better approach and you can ALWAYS ebay the old parts no problem.

Full coverage blocks mean less heat inside the case, less fan noise and lower ram temperatures.

Compare that pressure drop graph to the one for the original Fuzion GPU block. HALF the pressure drop? Sweet!

And if your caseflow is so bad that regular heatsinked V-RAM is causing heat problems, you've got serious airflow problems, and probably shouldn't be relying on a fullcover wateblock to somehow compensate.

Not wanting to have to run fans to keep memory sinks cool is not the same as saying you have "serious airflow problems" or that you are "compensating" by using a full coverage block.

A well designed full coverage block will give great GPU temps AND keep the ram cool without having any case flow whatsoever... that's not compensating that's just smart cooling.

Not everyone want's to run a bunch of fans in their PCs. Many of us want to utilize water cooling for more than just overclocking, like reducing system noise as well, for which things like full coverage blocks can't be beat.

so long as they supply the proper mounting plates and is backwards compatible, then the mcw60 may have a competitor...

now i'm glad that i didn't order a second mcw-60, old mcw going into my office rig and 2 of these into the gaming one

BTW i love the stock 3870 coolers, they have seperate sinks on the core, ram and vrm, all made of copper, all screwed to the card without pushpins and with thermal paste, no need for full cover blocks

MCW60 killer?! I hope two of them will fit on a 4870X2, or at least they make a dual GPU version.

Does anyone have any idea if these will work on ATI's new cards? Or their old ones?

Looks like there's no support for the range of cards, ATI 3xxx and 4xxx and Nvidia 9xxx and 2xx, that would really suck

$53 eh... MCW60 still beats it in price at $40. hopefully the price difference will parallel the performance difference also

Yea.. Another reason why I want to get rid of my MCW60's And I really hope so Apollo, would be wierd to launch a new block that doesn't support any of the new cards But maybe I'm just missing that they have the same mounting as some of the old ones..?

I have no idea, but like you said it would be really silly for them not to make it fit the new cards, i highly doubt it.

Sweet if this is on the par with the MCW60, I will get it.

MCW60 has horrible barb spacing. , although its the good block.

Now, if they'll make Unisinks for the front and back of the 280GTX, I'm guaranteed to buy this.
