that said, it seems like this biostar is pretty slick clock for clock, so what is your issue?

p.s. keep going pt1t and youngpro
well that kinda isn't what we all want

the board has to be reasonably fast at high FSB as it will be useless for benchmarking if you are like 1 minute slower in 32M Superpi than comparing boards

you will also take a hit in 3DMARK01, AM3, 3DMARK05, bit in '03 as well and this is what dual core FSB is needed for

ppl are mistaking FSB with performance or judge how good the boards are on it.............but FSB is only required because we have very low multiplier and need to reach those benchmarking speeds we require

air/water guys don't need this at all imo

    Yeah i understand that man

I was just pointing out that this board doesn't seem to have very slacky strap latencies to allow the higher fsb at a loss of performance. Pi32m and some 3d will clear that up for us anyway

    true true
the p5q deluxe board i had..
was problematic with my team xtreem PC2-6400 Cl3's
out of the 4 sticks.. one wouldnt boot no matter what

the biostar however just flies with d9GMh's
oh yeah for 1200 5:6 so far noticed that have to use tRFC 42...
    flies with all 4 sticks..
if not no go..on memtest86.. will fail test 4
love that part of the bios with inbuilt memtest86.
    up to 500fsb
1:1 can go as low as tRFC 21.. no issue..

To be fair, high FSB like this is superb and is what every ocer what to achieve.
because conventionally we expect higher performance when moving up for example from 400*10 to 500*8,
    that's why I raised the concern from e.g. 480*10 to 600*8,
do we actually get some more better performance out of that?
that's the question that I would like to raise, and not to discredit the decent record.
I think I have to clarify this a bit.

750.....that is insane....problem is.....now the need for really golden chips will much higher that with old boards, the limit will be the clock and not the FSB.....Let's see some Cedar Mill clocks on Wolfdales
