This board must have a very very strong powercircuit under load

    AMAZING

BioStar has done good the last 1-1½ years.
But mostly the french Ocers that made it shine.

Fantastic work James, looks like P45 is really cooking up some massive numbers. Need to get some DDR3 versions out though, don't fancy pushing my DDR2 sticks up past 1350MHz

well its the ddr2 rcomp configuration setting 1-4

it lowers the ram bandwidth to read/write/copy on everest for example for
500fsb 1:1 Cl4 9.3l/10.5k/9.9k to 7.3k/10.5k/5+k and it will even show that ure rams are in the same trd memset settings etc...
latencies will drop from 55 to 65

so compared to the p5q deluxe i say at least the asus has real world gain performance...

    good for cpuz screenshots...
but its definately one heck of a p45 chipset compared to the rest to have trd 8 up to 533fsb easy.... stable with no need of the ddr2 rcomp configuration

guys have u noticed say once u used that ddr2 rcomp configuration..
no matter what u try it will not be disabled until u load optimal default settings
and then manualy set everything again..

Super Pi will tell it is real fast or Biostar is cheating for vaguely higher but useless FSB.

    Asus is really fast, though.

so far asus bandwidths is nuts..
just check longsiews bandwidth scores in vrzone

so far for ddr2 rcomp config 3 with ddr2 enhanced enabled is for
    500fsb 5:6 1200 CL5/Cl4.. without this config 3 no boot
and it will maintain high bandwith

but if i set it back to 1:1.. will get some ridiculously low scores

i hope somebody can explain this ddr2 rcomp config settings..

    he's a rep for J&W boards
maybe they don't have a decent board out yet and it hurts that there is a direct competitor to their budget range LOL

one of my friends is bringing over his Biostar this sunday so we will give it a crack on LN2 as well and see if 32M SuperPi is any good and at what sort of FSB frequency we can nail it at

    what's the best bios Thomas?

BUT having said all this i want to see 32M SuperPi results on this board from you........i've asked Bob as well but he doesn't seem to register my posts for some questions in his Gigabyte thread

of course 500 makes no difference.
even ecs doesn't have to do anything for 500.

This is a FSB oc thread, I forgot, I'm sorry.
Just forget me talking about the performance part.
I shouldn't say it here, right?? seems not the right place.

I am very busy on the 790GX project,
you may go to the "AMD" area and take a look at my thread,
    I will update it soon!

as long as there is an agreement that FSB =/= performance or "not important as long as it is high, it can be sacrificed", then I am in the wrong place, dude.

    the term "overclocking" changes,

in the past, it always refers to higher performance,

we overclock because we want to get more performance out of the same $ paid,

but nowadays, it can be sacrificed, maybe I am too old, I am outdated.

If the fsb goes high enough, you will have no issues with performance

that said, it seems like this biostar is pretty slick clock for clock, so what is your issue?

p.s. keep going pt1t and youngpro
