    Confirm
Can anyone show me spi16/32m with FSB more than 550Mhz+
    ??

I found few interesting things with fsb 550-560:
    5-5-5-15 550/333/1100 bios pl 13-manual pl 10
    4-4-4-12 550/333/1100 bios pl 12-manual pl 9
but the thing is spi16/32m is not stable, orthos blend as well and all other benches like spi1m,wprime,orthos fft's ,pcmark are stable...any ideas?

According some websites launch willbe within a few weeks, but nice thing is that the Formula board is priced less then the Premium... depending on what you prefer ofcourse

Will test the 0704 tonite, see if I have any probs with Cmos resets...
Cob is there maybe any improvement ramwise, making it a bit harder to setup ?

    Will try tonite Prost71...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

This looks to be one of the better boards available ATM, now all I need to is decide between this one and the similar Gigabyte board
lots and lots of cores and lots and lots of tuners,HTPC's boards,cases,HDD's,vga's,DDR1&2&3 etc etc all powered by Corsair PSU's

I don't understand the situation of performance level, I don't know how the situation is with the other Intel chipset but why you can have better PL (also 2/3 level PL!) with higher memory frequency? It seems strange that with 1:1 divider and most conservatives FSB and ram frequency you can't have almost the same PL of a most tighter setting.
    What is it?
Something related to chipset... something related to Asus mobo or bios... or this is the normal situation and with 1:1 divider you can't use a best PL level that, paradoxically, you can obtain with tighter settings?

    PL sucks for the moment.

@400fsb it should boot with PL=6
@450fsb it should boot with PL=7

Gigabyte has even more work, you cannot compare this chipset with P35/X38/48... why do you think we have so easy high FSB clocks

Each mobo/chipset type will have it strong dividers... and give better performance... I tested the dividers at 400-450-500 and 600FSB... 1:1 is pretty poor as it requires a high PL (usually 10 and above) so you need good high speed ram to get the most out of it...

71Proste findings are weird, one of the reasons I will try this tonite, he can run lower latencies and decrease PL...will test with 0702 first then 0704 to see what gives...

I see no difference between 0702 and 0704,maybe the first one is more stable, but no difference with max fsb and spi16/32m stability.
What I know for sure I can run spi16/32m with max 543FSB at the moment and spi1m/orthos small FFt's prio9 about 560Mhz-higher system is not bootable
It must be something with ram setting, but I can't find reason.I tried PL,voltages, tymings, strap 333/400 and no success.

Does anyone know why my Q9450 is running at 6.0 X 334 (2004MHz) with an Out-Of-Box BIOS on this board? I haven't touched the settings at all yet, waiting for the weekend to overclock. But CPU-Z & Everest are reporting that my CPU is running with 6x Multi @ 2004MHz. That's lower then it's stock rated Multi of 8. What gives?

I know it's easy to fix, but I thought CPU always ran at stock if you ran BIOS at stock.

Probably Speedstep. Does it jump upto x8 when under load?

    Hmm, not sure... it's possible.
    What is SpeedStep?

I'm not overly concerned because Saturday I'm getting dirty into overclocking - but I just want to make sure there's nothing wrong with my CPU.

PS: Any further progress with your Q9450?

    0702 -

    0704 -

The extra 7mhz of the 0704 shot probably accounts for the slight difference.

I'm going to try to get 4ghz stable today. Need to find out what Auto sets the FSB voltage too first.

Speedstep is Intels power-saving feature. It, along with C1E and EIST drop the speed and voltage at idle.

Oh yeah, that's right! I had read about this sometime back - it completely blanked out of my mind, Doh!!

Relieved to know there's nothing wrong with my CPU.

Awesome!! I think someone back in these pages was talking about how to find out voltages that Auto sets. Not sure - might be mistaken.

0702 as far as I know. Some people are using 0704 but there's conflicting reports. You can download it from this thread - search back a few pages or use 'Search' feature.

I'm back onto 0704 today and I'm finding no performance differences from 0702 with my Q9450. Getting the BIOS time going hay-wire on every 'bad' overclock again, so I'll likely go back to 0702 again shortly.

Im having many problems with this MB.
If I set higher reference (the best is on auto- the minimum) I get lower max FSB and I cant get it stable on 4ghz (no problem on Maximus)
What are max 24/7 PLL and FSB voltages?

I got my Q6600 to 4.3ghz with all chipset voltages on the lowest setting (not auto).

Ok it wasn't stable at 4.3ghz, but getting stable at 4ghz would have been easy.
