vtt is know on some mobos as FSB Termination Voltage. PLL is completely different from vtt. On 45nm, vtt shouldn't exceed 1.4 as it will cause electromigration (cause the chip to slowly die).
L812B258, Pack Date 05/15/08 should be avoided, has a VID=1.25

oh yeaah i see too much v core in your quad, , re u using watercooling right??, but i see x48 is much better, if i put 3,91ghz like u my score in cinebench will be lower for sure, pretty nice chiset Zucker2k.
Iv been tested at 3,9ghz and i boot fine but my temps re a little hi, , almost 57 in cpu adn cores right 58 avg, but if y bench, ohh my god there s a barbaque here, all invited jajajajaaj

Looks like I just need to buy a real Rampage, and get a new Q9450...
Good results Zucker.
tnxs Zucker!, buy x48 is really superior, look at cinebench to much diference thats te good of your mobo, , exceleent performance.!
Plz can u post at 3,8ghz to compare in evereest test ans super pi. I can see the difference between x48 and p35 chipsets, obviously if u want!
Tnxs again men!!

Your welcome.... here is cinebench at 3.8Ghz... I posted this result here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=156129&page=3 last week. I'll run a 32m pi now and post results asap.

Thought I'd have a last play with this chip in the IP35 Pro before I start playing with the P5Q Deluxe -
Not bad considering the VTT only goes upto 1.42v in this board.
Q9450 @ 4ghz + ASUS P5Q Deluxe on H2O
2x36gb Raptors RAID 0, 4gb OCZ PC2-8000
x64 XP Pro, x64 Vista and x64 Ubuntus SMP goodness
Q6600 @ 3.8ghz + Abit IP35 Pro on H2O
XFX 8800GS Alpha Dog, 4gb OCZ PC2-8000
x64 XP & x64 Ubuntus SMP goodness
Anyone running this chip in the P5Q Deluxe motherboard? I've got the following recommended BIOS settings for that board. I'd like to hit as close to 500FSB as my 'on air' setup can possibly take.

Hi, I'm new to overclocking, and I just got a Q9450. I got it to 3.2Ghz by only changing the vcore to 1.26 and everything else on auto, but after 2 hours of prime95, Realtemp reads that the max temps were 65, 53, 56, 60c. According to my thermometer, it's about 88 degrees in my room. I have a TRUE 120 and an EVGA 780i mobo. Are these temps too high? Do I need to remount the HS? or just try lowering the vcore? What's a good amount of time to run prime95 for ? Sorry for all these questions. I searched around and I'm still a little uncertain.
Those temps arent bad for air coooling in a 88F room. 65C is the max I would go so you are fine.
Welcome BTW!
Wow thanks! What a quick reply!
Uh oh, I just found out that I read the thermometer wrong. It's actually 78*F. Are my temps still ok?
