Interesting to see, that according to this table, 790i ULTRA doesnīt support 2GB modules running at 1800Mhz and at 1800Mhz can only use 2 slots.
So in teory, if we want to run our memory at 1800Mhz,or more,we are LIMITED to 2GB!!!

iīm wondering if someone around here is running 4GB (2x2GB or 4x1GB) at 1800Mhz?

I've got 4GB(2X2GB) stable a 1760 using BIOS 0801. I have not tried 1800 with the 0801 BIOS yet...was planning on that tonight....all previous attempts with older BIOS's failed miserably. I know my CPU(X3350) will do 1802 stable but my OCZ RAM is only rated for 1600Mhz so I don't know if failing to run at 1800 would be because of the ram or 790i Ultra not supporting it as you say. I'll report back after I try again tonight.
