    That worked thanks !

    installed latest bios from asus site and reset defaults


    its now clocking at 2.93 - cant seem to get much higher though

    325 fsb with 9 multi and 4:5 on the memory (mem running at 813)

    any ideas what i could try ?

    vcore is on auto @ 1.320

    You can try 1:1 if that works with your cpu x8

    I tried 8 x 400 and it wouldnt boot at 1.375 vcore

    tried at 8 x 375 (3ghz) and it boots but my PCIe gone back to 1x

    memory is at 750

    my motherboard a setting of Vcore 1.4375v = 1.35 ~ 1.39v

    You need to do that default thing again. Strange, I have not had the 1x problem for over a year. I would read if you should flash to a old bios and flash again w/ the new one.

    seems I have this x1 bug now ( CPU-Z) as I also got half 3dmark06 of what I get in XP.

    Re-boot, go into the bios, set to default, reboot and change bios to your custom setting and reboot, x16. All you do is re-set the bios. After, if you make a bios change, check ....may have to do it again.

    Afaik ,
    latest BIOS is 1233beta , do you know if above (my) 1219 add something beside CPU support ? i.e worth flashing
