Doh
Same issue with P04 now. Non-OC keeps telling me: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupted: \Windows\system32\I_intI.nls
Wellknown error-message under extreme OC, but on default thats quite new to me.
Back to P02 all is fine as long as I dont OC RAM/FSB.

This P04 bios did wonders to this motheroard. QX overclocking was easy before and now wolfdale oc is too. 560fsb was no problem. You don't have to touch GTL values at that fsb, so everybody should be able to do the same.
My both G.Skill memory sets are working just fine. (2GB HZ is D9GTR and 4GB HZ is D9JNM). Cellshock/Corsair memories are working well too, like we have seen earlier.
I will start to test some other mobos now, so you guys have to keep this thread updated![]()

Big things come in big boxes... or something like that, about describes my reaction when seeing just how big the box is Foxconn decided to use.
but just what did I buy from Foxconn? well, you'll never guess what they sent me...
I'm just glad Foxconn decided to ship something else with it
sorry, just coudnt resist...
anyway, busy playing with

Battlefield 3: Nachthymnen666
I second that 100 percent now. After issues with P04 first I pushed the board to 590 MHz finally w/o touching reference voltages.
Boot into Windows with 580.
CPU-Z
So P04 is a big step forward. Keep pushing guys
Dividers from 1:1 up to 1.2655 working nice now. Starting with 1:3 and up it still stick with error-code 54 or C5. Command Rate 2
seems not to work (at least for me). Will keep on testing tomorrow some other RAM.
fast....fast.....very fast

I am seeing many people use PO4 bios. Does anyone know how it compares to the G25 bios?
after purchasing some cellshock pc3-1866 2 x 1gb blue modules and updating the bios to p04 and setting the settings from anandtechs preview article in the bios and also the clock skew settings to +300, i can now complete post and boot in to windows at 8.5 x 500 but am not stable
i get an intermittent bsod of error stop 0x0000007 and super-pi crashes
i have ran memtest+ 2.01 and it passes all 8 tests once but on the second pass it fails on test 4
also in the bios i have set 8 as the cpu multipler but during the post and in
everest and cpu-z it shows up as 8.5
has anyone any ideas where i go from here
i will post bios settings tomorrow as it is quite late and i have work tomorrow
thanks

The CellShocks arrived, so I proceeded to installing them in place of the OCZ3P18002GK kit that I was using. Just did a quick 400FSB, all auto but the 7-7-7-20-1T timings and 1.8xv [to test the issue where it would lock up if you provided more than the default value], and like a rocket this thing got all the way into Windows. I did a quick 4M SuperPI to test and it did it without a hitch. I'm still trying to find the sweet spot on this thing, but I'm afraid my Q9450 is not welcomed on this board, it used to do 450+FSB on the P5E3 Premium before and now it can't even get to 450FSB. I might do an even trade with a co-worker for his brand new E8500.
PS: Anyone know if this board undervolts regular Quads? Even with the droop compensation enabled, and the vCore set to 1.3625v, CPU-Z shows the current voltage at 0.91xx.

Well. after reading all of these forums, and having $600 of DDR3-1800, DDR3-1866 and DDR3-1066 all sitting around, I decided to try another Blackops from Newegg. I paid the $34.50 to have it Overnighted so that I can hopefully have fun with it over the weekend.
It sounds like BIOS version P04 addresses a lot of the issues. But, this is, as long as you can originally run at Stock Speeds. Which, my first nightmarish Board, could not do.
It would only run at 50% of the set BIOS CPU and DRAM FSB speeds.
I'll keep you posted on my second attempt with a different board.
AL (The Fonz)
You might give the Beta G25-BIOS a try. P04 solved the Wolfdale issue very nicely while G25 (which is the most recent) addresses
Command Rate (CR) 2 now. After all this I finally managed to run all my different memory modules at their specific clocks. For those who
did not run on previously BIOS, CR2 was the goal.
But still looking for next Beta - hopefully memory divider issues solved then.
Yes I saw G25 also. I've got P04 and G25 downloaded and saved on my USB Flash Drive.
Really wan't this board to work so that I can put in some HD4870XT's when they come out on 6/26, or abouts.

Yes the 4870x2 will be out the end of July or early August. AMD (ATI) is still polishing up the drivers.
But I was just going to get two HD4870's and XFire them.
The HD3870x2 is now going for $269 rebated.
This is my configuration only for my friends of foxconn....
This for low Cas latency Vs. High Fsb on the Cpu with Trd 8 or 7 over 520Mhz
this work with any micron chip on memory module GTR/GTS and JNL
this combination is perfect because using low Vtt, PLL, and DDR3 Voltage.
Bios is 04 for official mainboard.
One note on Trd this is influenced of Cas you used, if youd use cas 7 min tRD phase il 9, if you used cas 6 min trd is 8 with this setting.
I love low cas in high frequency, good hunting guys....![]()
Note**
The photo of setup is for safety boot in windows use memset and setFsb for any setting, with this configuration is possible boot over 550mhz this depend only of your CPU fsb wall, for now my on Air is this:
