Hehe, cheers on the group buy, and good luck with the blocks.

One thing though, Vcore.dk isn't a German shop, it's Danish
See the .DK suffix? DK signifies DenmarK.

The waterblocks, Heatkiller and MIPS, are german indeed, but the shop isn't

Is there a chance of there being another group buy of these? I didn't know about this thread until it was too late. I'm planning on beefing up the water cooling on my p35 and I would really like one of these blocks. If people are interested I would take the responsibility of ordering more.

I just received mine (direct from Germany since I live in the UK, but it still cost 15 GB pounds for delivery ) but haven't installed it yet. I am curious about the thermal interface material they provide. Any idea what it is? Presumably there are 2 different thickness since the mosfets are of a different height to the other SM components. Easier than milling a step in the base of the block I guess.

How do I get barbs for this thing? Will something like this fit? I have a loop with all 1/2" fittings and I don't want to screw around with adapters to change the size of tubing.

man that is one crazy looking case. yea, i hope the 1/2 " fittings work, but i pretty sure they should....

what's the final goal of that case, interesting design.

ps, are you using that hanger to help your back or is it just for some extreme workouts.

    regards

Yeah the case beats how I used to have the system just sitting on a pile of boards. The wife thought it looked like hell so I decided to spruce it up a little bit and I made that shelf for it. The idea behind it is that it will cool better than having the system in a case (better air flow with less fans) and there is easy access. I have a 120 mm fan on the HDD's (which is nice). They are also suspended with rubber grommets so they are nearly silent and resistant to shock. I'm in the process of making a new one. All walnut. A big solid block that my 2 yr. old son can't screw with. I'm going to put it on the floor and put the heater cores and the pumps (I'm getting another one like I already have) in the basement right beneath it. I want to get as much of the heat from the system as I can into the basement where I don't care about noise. This is why I need to get the PWM water block; because my 80 mm fan I have on there now won't fit inside a case and it would create more hot air that would need to be evacuated. Also getting 2 more heater cores for a grand total of 4. The plan is for no noise to come from the system at all. And the inversion rack, well what can I say? It's plain awesome. If you ever get the chance to try one out you'll be hooked for life; just like I was.

    Back on topic:
Does the Swiftech MCW30 also use the same barbs? I think the specs said that it's 1/4' threads but I'm not sure. If so I'll pick up a couple more of those barbs for my MCW30 as the plastic ones it come with are pretty flimsy and I almost trashed one trying to put 7/16' tubing on.

I had a hard time getting my dtek barbs on. When I did they were leaking a little from the o ring. I used some EK high flow barbs instead as I've found that they tend to be threaded more consistently. The EKs went on very easy where as the dteks required a bit of elbow grease to get on.

Interesting. PTS is all out of the EK barbs. What barbs are other people using?

    BAH!

I've got my MIPS block in hand, it looks great but the guys over at DFI club told me it wasn't a good idea. I have another computer working right now so I'm willing to risk it. But now I'm seeing this heatkiller block and I WANTS IT. But I don't see any SW-16's on the vcore.dk website.

Any suggestions on how I can get one?

Well i decided to go ahead with the MIPS block and I think I'll be ok. I went ahead and purchased the whole motherboard set from them (cept for the APOGEE GTZ) and so I want it to be uniform.

I removed some of the heat issue by refraining from adding any thermal paste to the inductors and by putting down a very thin layer of E-tape. I'll let you guys know what happens =P.
