    To AliG and Jowy:

    1. Hu1kamania: 9900GTX is not new gen, but a 55nm shrink of old gen.

    2. Milos-stancene: YES,it IS.

    3. STaRGaZeR: No, it isn't. And you won't see them anytime soon.

I don't think it's that hard to understand

9900GTX IS G92b, and G92b is just a die shrink of G92. And you won't see it anytime soon. Caparroz got it right.

you said it isn't a 55nm shrink of g92, and I corrected your statement on that, I don't see how I have it wrong, I know exactly what it is and that it won't be out until August from what benchzowner has said

    1. Hu1kamania: 9900GTX is not new gen, but a 55nm shrink of old gen.

    That is true

    2. Milos-stancene: YES,it IS.

    also true

    3. STaRGaZeR: No, it isn't. And you won't see them anytime soon.

    That is not true

well why did you say "No, it isn't" to Hu1kamania and Milos-stancene?
maybe my poor english is the cause of my confusion

    Actually I said it was...

    1. Hu1kamania: 9900GTX is not new gen, but a 55nm shrink of old gen.

    2. Milos-stancene: YES,it IS.

    3. STaRGaZeR: No, it isn't. And you won't see them anytime soon.

Again: 1. 9900GTX is not next gen (correct), 2. YES,it IS (wrong), 3. No, it isn't (correct).

You get it now? I'm saying it's not next gen by any means. And BZ said around November, not August if I remember correctly. Too lazy to check.

argh I'm getting more confused about what's happening, lets just leave it that we both agree the 9900gtx is a g92b card that won't be out for a while

...aaah, we were taking Milos-stancene's post as further confirmation of Hu1kamania's

    Exactly, and don't worry

Just wait for the real thing. This two stickies are boring with 10 users posting the same information, 20 fanboys saying "OMGWTF!!1 DO WANT!!111!" and no real info

This reminds of the multithreaded fest, XS is hilarious, love you guys.

Point is : STaRGaZeR was just saying 9900GTX is not a newgen, but just a refresh of older gens, so he contradicted Milos-stancene when he said "no it isn't"

    Ok?
    Are we there yet?

    Heheh,

I confess i lol'd at the madness of those posts.

So OBR is confirming that this is not the monster card we hoped for huh?

Could 3 of them max out Crysis @ 2560x1600?

yea I don't understand why OBR keeps putting down the card. Those results are very impressive to me. What was he expecting? Ten times the performance of a single 8800?

From everything I've seen this IS the monster card we hoped for. He either had unrealistic expectations or someone from ATI is watching over his shoulder as he types

Plus drivers for the cards are hardly top notch either, should see another rise there..

GTX 280 performs 3 times better in that crysis benchmark than a single 8800 Ultra. That should ease your worries.
