Hi
What case would you choose and why?It is the new amor + http://www.legionhardware.com/document.php?id=705&p=0
Cosmos. It's not made by Thermaltake, it has useable handles, and it's a lot better at noise dampening while allowing for good modability.

I got the old Armor and i have a Cosmos S now. NO WAY THAT I BUY A THERMALTAKE AGAIN.

I'd have to say they're pretty close, there is bias against thermaltake cases in general, but the armor+ seems very solid, and it does use that vga fan that i think started with the silverstone tj09. the side fan is probably unnecessary, as it just disrupts the airflow that is going bottom-front to top-back. the mobo tray is removable on the armor, which is another plus. they both use mesh fronts which really helps airflow. About the only disadvantage I can think for the armor is you can't mount a triple rad on the top like you can on the cosmos.

not one person has actually gave a valid reason, outside of thermaltake suxors, for why the cosmos is a better case... old armor, i agree, is nothing great, but these two cases are on equal footing, and the noise dampening is on the cosmos 1000, not the 1100 which is the s.

Because you cant put a good watercooling clearly in a Armor + everybody knows TT quality. They use crapyy plastic on top @ Armor+.
But Cosmos S 's build and material quality + cooling performance better better than Armor+.Also Cosmos S looks better and cooler.
This are the reasons..

cooling performance and build quality are a tie, like I said I do acknowledge that cosmos has an advantage for water, but for air cooling the cases are equal. if you don't like thermaltake thats fine, but as I don't watercool, I will just get the cheaper of the two.

I dont think so two case are equal.Cosmos better air-water cooling + better looks+ better quality...
I'm not a user of Cosmos but this is the reality.

well lets see... armor has a 140mm fan for intake, cosmos has a 120mm, and both cases could take another intake fan with some modding. armor has 140mm rear exhaust, cosmos has 120mm, and both have one 250mm side intake. armor has two bottom intakes, cosmos has 1. cosmos has 3 top 120mm exhausts, armor has 1 140mm. armor also has a bracket for a fan that mounts to the hdd cage, like the tjo9, that blows air over the video cards. they both have their advantages, cosmos has more exhaust fans, armor has holes for larger 140mm fans which will give you either less noise or higher cfm. There's no clear winner, like i said...

Armor's 140mm fans are too noisy. And not a good flow in reality.
İf somebody likes armor go and buy but if you want to watercooling & modding go and buy Cosmos S.
That's my idea![]()

I would never keep the fans that came with the case, be it cosmos or armor, I have no concern for noise, and rather just buy the highest cfm fans I can, within reason. I do like the fact that the cosmos has more exhaust fans, but if I can find the armor for considerably cheaper or with a free shipping deal or something, i'd have no regrets pulling the trigger over the cosmos.

Cosmos S pwns thermaltake cases hands down
Raptor said it, and i will say it also. cosmos s pwns the armor+. i had the armor+ for a few weeks and it was the worst decision i ever made. i couldnt even sell the piece of crap so i ended up returning it to newegg and had to pay the damn restocking fee. i wad desperate and wanted to get rid of it. the armor+ is VERY heavy. and i found that the airflow was not great. it could not handle my 3 x 8800gtx's very well, they would heat up pretty bad. my antec 900 did a better job. also, if you plan on installing a custom water cooling kit then please stay away from the armor+. from what ive read, the cosmos s cools well, is not as heavy, looks WAY better IMO and is much better for water cooling. i havent read all the posts, but i dont think a single person has recommended the armor+.

Doesn't any non-Thermaltake product have a better design than any Thermaltake product?
Well the armor has no cable managment, it is clearly vey easier to change something if you need to in the cosmos with all the design's and tool less stuff, the handles can come in very neatly when moving it something i can't real tell for the armor, the quality etc issues have alreasy been mentioned, the triple rad is quite a good reason also,
The only downside is the psu on the bottom and the non removable mobo tray
I'd say Cosmos due to past experience with Thermaltake cases.
Another supporter of the Cosmos here!
I have seen the TT Armor+, and it is made up of the $h!tiest materials you can imagine. Everything on it seems cheap, and overlooked.
On the other hand, the Cosmos is a very solidly built case. The case it built like a tank, and the quality is exceptional.
Right now, I am deciding myself between the Cosmos S, TJ07 and the Lian Li V2000/V2010.
^_^
well i like my tt armor+mx and it clears my true and clears the side fan and cools well but i dont move it around
